  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Perfect Two

Oh boy. Grading your partner on a scale of 1-10...that's a risky move! Which is what makes the banter in this play so very engaging. And shows us why, by the end, they are such a great team. No one is perfect...but you can be perfect for each other. Such a sweet and funny play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: When I Fall in Love, It Will Be..., a 10-minute play

Oh, this is so sweet and so sad. And definitely not something anyone prepares you for when you put a loved one in memory care. But now that I've read this play, I am certain it happens more often than we'd think. But Ed's care and guidance of Flo through this is so sweet and engaging. There needs to be more plays like this that helps us prepare for the unexpected in a terrifying medical diagnosis.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Final Scene

What's great about this piece is it can be performed legit, for true scares allowing designers to really shine. Or you can play it like a B movie, for laughs. OR you could do it back to back, perhaps bookending an evening of shorts, showing how the words might not change, but the reaction to those words can be manipulated by design and performance. This script is a theatrical gift. So much room to play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Doctor Disorder Threatens the World

Doctor Disorder seems to get therapy via television and thermonuclear devices. Honestly, just as expensive as traditional therapy, but much funnier! This would be a very fun character to play and I love the stream of conscious dialogue!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

I have chills. The juxtaposition of the colorful masks and fun parade met with what they are marching for and toward is devastating. In a way, it seems familiar. The theatre of politics and waving signs. But people continue to die as we enjoy the show.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Cupid Retires to Palm Beach, Florida

This monologue is a cleverly dressed call to arms. If Florida is going to try to legislate the horrors of oppression, Cupid isn't going to just fly away and hide. Cupid will stand up and educate. Cupid will stay where they have made their home and vote to keep it the beautiful and comfortable place it should be to live. It's a hard thing to do for an aging, God, but I am glad Cupid is setting a good example for the rest of us. Stay, fight, lead the way to the light!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Blowout

I absolutely LOVE Mike and Elaine! Their banter is so fun and real. You can tell they love each other very much, despite their past transgressions and they are a great team. This is a beautiful snapshot of a moment in their lives and, I for one, would love to see more from these two!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Water Damage

Oh wow. This piece is intense. It holds you in place and all you can do is listen and be present in this horrifying moment that has stained Rich's apartment. The sound designer on this short piece will really have a masterpiece to work with. This is a terrifying play that suckers you with its gentle delivery, but will haunt you long after you have left the theatre.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Resurrectionists

This play is full of such great characters! And the banter within the graveyard is just chillingly hilarious. Lots of room to play with this piece and really give it the atmosphere it deserves!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 997 Pieces

OH I LOVE THIS PIECE! Physical, smart and surprising at the end! Who knew a play about putting together a puzzle could be so active?! So much fun!
