I absolutely love this story! I always thought Medusa got such a horrible shake in Greek mythology. Now she is in charge and I love her! I would love to play this part! The role of Perseus is fun as well, with physical comedy and one liners. Just a great little twist on the original tale we all need to hear today!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The King of Prussia

A fun throwback to the golden age of comedy! Slapstick, word play and outrageous situations! This would be a lot of fun to stage. It goes to show you, the classic style never dies.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Spider Girl

You can just feel the nervous energy of Dorothy just by reading the words she says. Dorothy is a person who is wholly passionate about a subject most people fear. And perhaps Dorothy, in turn, fears most people. She is a sweet, yet somewhat odd character that is likeable, but also slightly dangerous as she preemptively strikes out at anyone who might hate what she loves. What a fun character to play!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A TROUBLING STATE OF AFFAIRS

My head is spinning! After each thread of evidence was pulled out, I wondered "how is he going to get out of this one?!" And what a surprise! Audiences will be delighted and talking about this twist for days after this performance!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Don't Feed the Ducks

HA! I love this list of classic pet names! Which could be for a lover or a pet duck, now that I think about it! A fun little snapshot in time. And you can't lose with ducks!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Unboxing Match

Do clothes really make the man? What about the man inside the man? Adam Richter's short play gives an inside look at one man's insecurity on how others perceive him and the ugly voice inside all of our heads that tell us to just give up. Although, when Chloe offered such a good deal on that box of clothes, I was tempted to buy them myself! Mark is a very relatable and likable character, battling himself for control of his life and status. I have a feeling he is on the right path by the end of this play!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Outgrowth

Outgrowth is an epic memory play about a man and the secrets he kept from those who loved him most, as well as himself. Secrets manifested in the hairs that grow on his face. Just as they begin to grow and stir to the surface where they would be visible to all, he must dig them out and swallow them again. He is so desperate to be free, but also embraces the loves that tie him down. Quite an amazing and unusual character study for all 3 characters. Quite a journey that always ends up home.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THE OTHER SIDE

This reminds me of the old "open scene" acting exercises I used to do as a student. There is so much being said with very little blocking and dialogue...and depending on the artists who collaborate on this piece, the meanings could be very different than what I found as I read. I bet it would be interesting to make this show part of a longer night of shows and have it open and close the show with different casts/design teams to see what they come up with! Love the possibilities with this!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: TRUE LOVE 2.0

I like the idea of taking control of the of the past and telling the truth through a play. Maybe the artistry makes transgressions easier to accept? I think I should start writing some scenarios to perform for my next reunion...

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Goddess Of The Hunt

Romance! Intrigue! Murder?! This epic play has it all! I love the social media aspect of the story, as I am always suspicious of over-sharers, myself. Now, I'm even MORE suspicious! The characters are all so very likable, even when they are doing horrible things. DeVita really draws the audience in with the twists and turns into an edge of your seat climax. Absolutely delightful! Great to read, and I bet it would be exciting to watch, fun to design and a dream to perform!
