  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: CONTRAPPOSTO

"I'm gonna just pay you for the week and you can go" This had me laughing out loud. When a woman demands to be acknowledged beyond her appearance, it seems men just would rather give them something to leave/stop talking. Such a funny look at this subject through the eyes of the very SUBJECT of objectivism. A creatively executed piece!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Estate Sale

This is definitely relatable as someone who has parents who frequent estate sales and purchase random items that leave me scratching my head.
This would be a great play for a theatre group to showcase some of their older talent!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Takeout

A "meet ironic", trapped in an elevator! The stakes were built beautifully, while keeping the setting in one tight spot. Melanie and Stan deal with their stress of a first date and being trapped in an elevator in very different, very entertaining ways. By the end, we will all want to go out for takeout with them!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: To the Zoom and Back

What a great Zoom meet cute for two older actors! Ava would be such a fun role to play and right from the comfort and safety of your own home!
If you're looking for socially distant web content for your theatre, you couldn't go wrong with this one!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: To the Stars With Love

Oh, this is so sweet, sad and relatable. Even though it is light years from where we exist now, it does kind of reflect our current situation of separation. And it is hard to "stay on the same page" when there is distance between to people. No matter how great that distance may be. You can feel the love and sadness of both characters and I think this is such a special way to do Zoom theatre without it being all about "social distancing" for the pandemic. Just a lovely. poetic piece overall.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The High School Yearbook Picture of Dorian Gray

I recently had the great pleasure of performing this piece for a Zoom reading and it went over like gang-busters! You can never go wrong with a Busser comedy. The gags are smart and fast, the characters are over the top, but relatable and you'll leave wanting more! Someone needs to do a whole evening of Busser plays, and this one just made the list. Lots of fun opportunities for set and lighting design as well as great roles for a variety of types. See you at the next Busser Stop!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: CHRISTMAS IS ALL YOU WANT IT TO BE

Stiff upper lip and all, eh? The message here is strong, even though it evokes some laughs when the tragedies continue to pile up. When I got to the top of page 2 and saw what happened to Harold, I gasped and laughed simultaneously! Really, it isn't just Christmas, is it? Life is what you make it. And I think Harold and his wife are going to be just fine!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Lady Who Collects Spiders Meets A Gentleman Who Collects Snakes

I gasped with a smile at the end of this play! I feel all cozy inside knowing two outsiders found a way to be together. A great exercise for student performers especially. Such a cute play!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Bee's Knees

A sweet tale of determination and teamwork. There is action, there is tragedy, and also hope. This fun play is truly "the bee's knees"!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Captain Cockroach

Strange how priorities don't change from man to bug. Someone always needs to be in charge and be acknowledged for that power. Or perhaps Ray and Charlie only fancied themselves to be human, but they were cockroaches all along? This little piece of absurdist theatre will have audiences laughing while they squirm in their seats.
