  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: LOVE AND OTHER AILMENTS

Poor William. He has it bad. He is so in love with his wife he continues to suffer. He tries to warn his future son-in-law that love can't exist without said suffering, but Ted has an answer for every possible ailment love can bring. Perhaps William could learn something from Ted? A sweet piece to add to an evening of short plays, indeed!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Fast and the Führer-Less

I recently had the joy of performing in a reading of this play. The jokes come quickly, but they are smart and delightful. It feels a bit like a Scooby-Doo running around through doors in the hallway at the end and that's a good thing! The age old question, would you kill baby Hitler if given the chance is posed, practiced, but hilariously never answered. Way to schtick it to the fascists, Busser!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Lunch Ladies

This play is full of bold, broad characters, a little action and cupcakes! Who could ask for more?! Actors will have a blast with this piece and it feels like it would be fun and easy to stage.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Billy In The Other Room

...This play is filled with tension from page one and it only continues to build. It will leave the audience in silence, but they won't stop talking about it after they leave the theatre. What a terrifyingly true reflection of the world we live in. It doesn't leave us with answers, but just posing the questions is extremely brave and important right now.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Baby Steps

This is a lovely story about family and growth. The characters are rich, relatable and likeable...even when they do unlikeable things.
Even better all the answers aren't just handed to the audience, just like in real life. The audience grows along with the story.
    Absolutely heartwarming.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: In the Slush

This is not the story I thought it was going to be! Every twist and turn was a surprise and filled me with all of the emotions one might find in an unsolicited manuscript. The story the characters are trying to bring in to the world never turns out the way they expected either. And honestly, I could see this going on to be an interesting and dark series, with audiences not able to help but root for the anti-heroes!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: MY PARADISE ISLAND

Jack Levine is great at taking absurd characters and placing them in every day situations. Here he has taken an every day couple and put them in a somewhat absurd situation! It's almost a lesson in "be careful what you wish for." This couple gets their "ocean view home", but can't get food delivered to their remote location. And somehow they still get neighbors and in-laws interrupting their peace and quiet. A cute piece to stage for any short play festival!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Of Garden Gnomes and Other Tragedies

The world creating here is so rich and layered for a short play! I would love to see more of this tragic but interesting and familiar world. This would be a fun acting challenge for both actors as well. Just a fun and creative piece. And if they do an "America's Most Wanted" episode about of Diabolallura's crimes, I'd love to play her in the reenactment!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Radical Faeries

The image of Ralph and Mack in this play has put little heart emojis in my eyes! Though they fought assimilation, society assimilated to them and it is disorienting. I hope they find their joy somewhere, because I found my joy in this moment in their lives. They are full, beautiful characters that are gone in a blink, like a shooting star.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Focus: A Zoom Play

I absolutely cannot stop laughing at the imagery this play conjures up! Possibly the most visually and contextually funny zoom-style play I have read in a while! Proof that this format is fun and viable for audiences and artistic teams alike. The prop design team alone will have a fun time with the "fun box."
If you read one zoom-style play, I highly recommend this one! Would love to see it or even perform it!!!
