  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Panic

I was laughing out loud through every single page of this script! The "Steaks" are high! Very fast paced, smart and yet silly, the banter between the characters, mixed with the side-eyes to the audience will have everyone roaring with laughter. Definitely NOT roaring with zombism...no, that's not on the table.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Pandora's Box of Donuts

Cal is a rare and great friend to Em. Despite Em's truth in stating that "hope" is almost as bad as the other things that came out of Pandora's box, Cal truly listens and gives alternatives to allowing hope turn to disappointment. This is a very real conversation about clinical depression and suicidal thoughts between two people who truly care for one another. There is humorous banter, softening the blow of some of the darker lines. But in all, every word rings true.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: I Knew It!

Francesca's last monologue hits so beautifully...despite the subject matter. Honestly, Francesca is wiser than probably any of the paparazzi would give her proper credit for. From someone who lives outside of the world of rock and roll theatre, this is an unforgiveable transgression. But the way Francesca explains it, it is merely a part of the marriage agreement with someone like Judd or Crispin. I can't believe I am agreeing with Francesca. But the way she presents the situation, I am totally sold. Love this.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Beatrice

I love the tension, with just a touch of comedy here. "Fun sized horror." And a bar of chocolate can sometimes keep the scariest of monsters away!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Look Away

We live in times where so many newsworthy things are happening around us. Things that affect our world greatly. But typically when we look back at history, each era is only about one newsworthy thing. But being surrounded by world changing events is not unique to modern times. And this play is a powerful example. This is important history that has been hidden from educational radar. I feel this would be a great piece to perform at schools, universities, and community centers. It would be a fairly easy touring production and very important to see!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: MAKING MYTH

Oh this is fun. I bet Darwin has a blast creating chaos. And in the most boring of places, like a check out line? So much room for hysteria and madness! Perhaps we should all be looking out for Darwin and Delaine before we just accept the world crumbling around us in the most innocuous of places. Like a check out line...a zoo...It could happen!!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 10min - On The Other Side

The last line made me snap to attention. Yes, this is immersive and almost aggressively so, but when you hear the last line, it all makes sense! This is important to think about. And that is what good theatre should make audiences do...think.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Midnight Nibble

Ooo! I even said that out loud after I finished reading this snack of a horror play! I love the character descriptions and just adored how Dot interacted with Line upon their entrance. This would be super fun to play...and analyze!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Candy's Christmas Wish (6-7 min.)

The simple wish of growing up...or out. I remember those days. This is delightfully funny, but also quite honest and real! And the advice Mrs Santa gives about "giving the gift to yourself,"? Yes!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Space Time Love Trilogy

Having read all of these one acts individually, I can say this is an evening of theatre that will move audiences, really make them think and keep them talking long after curtain call. This is smart theatre!
