  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: That Wasn't Mistletoe (from HOW MY PRINCE CHARMING TURNED OUT TO BE A FROG)

Romantic and educational holiday short! This is a great example of cultures coming together in love and the holidays. And I feel like I learned a few things, too!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Grift of the Magi

Will they see this play as a guiding star? We can only pray! I had my hands up to my cheeks and was grinning wildly throughout reading this play. This should be a Dramatists Guild example play about play festivals that grift artists!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: JACOB AND EBENEZER: A LOVE STORY

This is so beautiful. And tragic. If you didn't know Scrooge would get another chance in the next chapter, thanks to Marley, it would be absolutely heart breaking. But the consequences Marley suffers are dark and miserable. My hopes are that he and Scrooge will both be free of their chains in the far off future. These characters, including the nurse, are so well defined in their own world here. This is a must for holiday programming! Especially amongst the LGBTQ+ theatres! Take note!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Adventures of Pat the Exterminator: Wolfman Wants a Treat

Pat really thinks of all the logical things I think of when dealing with monsters and urban legends. This play starts out intense, you're a little worried for Pat, until you realize Pat knows exactly what is going on and how to deal with things. Give me more Pat!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Adventures of Pat the Exterminator: The Laboratory

Pat! I adore Pat! I want to be as cool as Pat! Pat is just so laid back, can be anything, can do anything, but Pat just chooses to make the world a less...infested place. Pat would be the best character to play, if you can't just be Pat in real life!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Elves on Strike

How brilliant! Write a show for a short holiday themed festival that will absolutely be the MOST memorable show of the evening! Matthew Weaver knows how to shatter a fourth wall and entertain continuously!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 20 MAGICAL MINUTES OF DARKNESS & SILENCE & PEACE

Remarkable how a play about 2 raccoons (well, technically 3) can be so poetic and insightful about loss. A magical story that will be fun to costume, yet play it in truth. It will send home a message about grief that will be easier to swallow coming from animals that like to play in your garbage cans.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Romeo and Jules

Truly star crossed lovers. I was giggling at Jules giving Romeo directions at the beginning, but this story is really an allegory to how so many people feel they have to hide their true feelings from their families and the world. Separated by a balcony and miles of bigotry. But "humans are enlightened." Hopefully someone is ready to change the bulbs.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Coff(ee)in

This is adorable...in a threatening kind of way! I think Danny and Blair have a very...dark future together. It seems like they might be good for one another and they both know it! A wonderful "meat" cute!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Faking Glory

This is such a sweet play about young friendship and the difficulty of the social system that begins in high school. Every shy person needs a friend like Carlos, and every confident person hiding a sliver of insecurity under their fabulousness needs a supporter like Marija. This right here is true love.
