  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: Not Even the Girlfriend

A well-crafted, thought-provoking, ten-minute play about the abuse actors and writers are subjected to. I love the strong-willed protagonist, Sharyn, who stands up for herself against a bully acting teacher. The opening monologue was well-wriitten and a great vehicle for an actor. I highly recommend it!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: The Tenting

It’s always fascinating when a playwright picks a unique location for a play, and a haunted tent fits that criteria. Alan and Sylvie are a bit of an odd couple, with Alan an indoorsy, unadventurous type and Sylvie being a know-it-all, outdoorsy type. When the two of them encounter an angry, vengeful ghost, the fun begins. This play has many funny one-liners that make this a memorable ten-minute play.

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: Ambient Light (Ten Minute)

Such a beautifully written short play that packs a lot into it. Decades have passed, and yet, these two aging ex-lovers find themselves unexpectedly meeting, and it seems that no time has passed. This well-crafted play tackles some big themes like it takes courage to be yourself, and if we got a second chance with a lost love, would we get it right this time? Donnelly is a master craftsman and I loved his fast-paced, witty dialogue. A great read that would stage beautifully.

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: To Love Alone

This well-crafted short play packs a big punch. Who doesn’t hate shopping for Valentine’s Day cards? Two likeable, intelligent young people share their thoughts on love, bad writing, and Gertrude Stein. The dialogue is witty and well-conceived, and I would love to see this staged. Bravo!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: A Lovers' Quarrel

Set in 1946, a young Black soldier returns from the war with a less than enthusiastic welcome from his family. They are afraid that his past will catch up with him and them. When he falls in love with a white woman, these two star-crossed lovers become the victims of the Jim Crow corrupt and cruel criminal justice system prevalent in Mississippi. Well-crafted with well-developed characters and biting dialogue, this epic full-length drama is a must-see. Bravo!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: Affairs

Rachel Feeny-Williams’s wicked, wacky, and witty sense of humor is apparent throughout this one-act play. This hilarious piece is a roller coaster ride from start to finish. • This short, poignant play reminds us how hard it is to be a parent and how hard coming-of-age can be in a world full of hypocrisy and double standards. I liked the characters and their heartfelt interactions. The love between the father and daughter permeates the entire piece.

This moving monologue would make a great audition piece for any actor of any age. It is well-crafted, poetic, and hauntingly mesmerizing. What makes this piece unforgettable is the sense of hope that is woven throughout. Bravo!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: THE DATING POOL, a one-act play for 5 women plus optional additional characters

A widow of a certain age contemplates whether she should jump back into the dating pool. She is visited by her former self at various ages, and the results are hilarious. I had the pleasure of reading this play and seeing it staged at Theatre Three's 24th Annual One-Act Festival. It is a fun read, but even more fun to see staged. Bravo!
