  • Jack Levine: Legacy - A Script In A Day

ALICE JOSEPHS’ “Legacy - A Script In A Day” is such an intriguing piece, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There is plenty of unfairness; the rich and corrupt seem to always win; and good doesn’t always triumph over evil. That’s life. And this short play is a ‘spot on’ depiction of this sad truth. Good job!

  • Jack Levine: True Skies

JOHN MABEY’s short play captured my heart. It’s so sweet and sentimental. “True Skies” has a rhythm of dialogue one might expect from a loving married couple, who know each other very well. They are faced with the awful truth of one of them dying. With love and understanding, each tries to comfort the other. I loved the unique gift and what it represented. I loved the respect for each other’s different religious views. I just LOVED this short play! Bravo!

  • Jack Levine: Going in Blind

TAMAR SHAI BOLKVADZE’s ten-minute play grips you from beginning to end. The daughter’s search for a desperately needed connection, as she is alone and pregnant, is touching. “Going In Blind” is a brilliantly written piece, which will definitely captivate audiences.

  • Jack Levine: The Trials of Virginia Rappe

TAMAR SHAI BOLKVADZE’s “The Trials of Virginia Rappe”, is spellbinding. The play is based on a true story. You are left to decide the guilt or innocence of the accused, not withstanding the Jury’s verdict. I love the way the playwright uses the ghost of Virginia to add drama, context, and to a degree, a reason to believe all is not what it seems during the trial. I would imagine there would be a lot of discussion after the play, as there was in ‘real life’. I highly recommend this play.

  • Jack Levine: It's Not Blood

KIM E. RULYLE with his skillful playwriting writes a short play of much depth. Honor, loyalty, and tradition are considered and pitted against the survival instincts of avoiding potentially deadly risks. The ‘manly’ act of war, as learned by games of war in our youth, sets the stage of what may become our destiny. The bonds of brothers, the family legacy, and a sense of patriotism are strong forces. I was captivated by this piece and highly recommend “It’s Not Blood”.

  • Jack Levine: The Duck Did it!

RACHEL FEENEY-WILLIAMS’ short play is hilarious. You will never look at a duck again in the same way after you read or watch “The Duck Did It!” This playwright never fails to please. Fun, fun, fun to read or watch!

  • Jack Levine: Would you?

RACHEL FEENEY-WILLIAMS wrote a most interesting short play. Three people have had lives very different than they would have liked. This piece raises the what-if question of all time, so to speak: How much are you willing to sacrifice to get what you want? “Would You?” will captivate audiences and have them talking about this marvelous work after they leave the theater.

  • Jack Levine: Your Boy

ROBIN BERL’s short play is truly beautiful, touching, and insightful. The pain and regret in a gay son’s mind can be strong and debilitating when it is his father who never seemed to accept him for whom he was. “Your Boy” is powerful and must be seen by audiences.

  • Jack Levine: Going There

PHILIP MIDDLETON WILLIAMS never disappoints. His plays are always interesting and well worth reading and watching. “Going There” is a beautiful piece of love gained, love lost, and love regained. It is a heartfelt piece, which I loved reading. We all should do what we really feel in our heart rather than what we think others may want us to do.

  • Jack Levine: Open the Box (Don't) Open the Box

EMILY RAINBOW DAVIS’s monologue of Pandora questioning, considering, and ultimately deciding whether or not to open up a box she was gifted. She was told not to ever open this box. However, she is curious and would like to know what’s in the box. “Open The Box (Don’t) Open The Box” is a monologue that I would imagine would be a marvelous role for a female actor. I am sure that audiences would love it.
