  • Jack Levine: Gone Fishin'

BILL ARNOLD’s short play is beautifully written with the serene, witty, judgmental, annoyed banter you would expect from two older men, who are sitting in a boat, fishing and talking about their lives. “Gone Fishin’” has two great roles for older male actors. Audiences will love watching it!

  • Jack Levine: Stalking

LEE R. LAWING’s short play, “Stalking”, is a spoof of the trials and tribulations of people trying to deal with the pandemic. Fear, loneliness, frustration, and so many other emotions gripped us, as we had to stay away from family and friends. Well, most of us did. Some went out, like to weddings, and got ‘attacked’ by Covid-19, or not. This is a Zoom play, which will be very relatable to what we have been experiencing.

  • Jack Levine: An Apéritif [a 1-minute play]

STEVEN G. MARTIN is a master in writing thought provoking, well-written monologues. In a minute, you can feel the tension, despair, and fear of the wife, and you know the husband is self-centered, cruel, and heartless. “An Aperitif (A 1-Minute Play)” is a gem! Bravo!

  • Jack Levine: Bars (monologue)

JENNIFER O’GRADY’s monologue of Sky, her pet parakeet, hits all the right notes. I love the sweetness of this piece. “Bars” are the things that hold our pet within its cage in which our pet parakeet can make us happy by singing to us. So, it seems reasonable to take into account what will make our pet happy. This is a wonderful monologue!

  • Jack Levine: Always

DANA HALL “Always” is a beautiful piece of an older couple, who have been married for over half a century. I love the banter between these soulmates, who know each other completely. As a person in my 70’s and married for 49 years, I related to this piece in so many ways. Great job, Dana Hall!

  • Jack Levine: Interview With The Playwright

JOHN MABEY has written a marvelous ten-minute play in which you are kept enthralled throughout with a well-written, well crafted gem. “Interview With The Playwright” should be a part of any Halloween production.

  • Jack Levine: A Gun or a Paycheck

DC CATHRO’s short play is thought provoking. We may have marital problems but not be able to express our concerns to our spouse in a clear manner. This can lead to non-sensical antics, which may seem inexplicable, at first, but can be revealing if we look ‘below the surface’ for the true meaning. “A Gun Or A Paycheck” is an interesting play and should be on your reading list. I would like to see this play performed.

  • Jack Levine: CLIPS

ADAM RICHTER’s ten-minute gem of a play tells a sad but true tale of the dramatic changes to one of our Country’s must essential pillars of Democracy: A free press. Sheila is a person to be admired. She wants, and indeed needs, to inform the Public. “Clips” is dramatic, passionate, and true. This is a play, which belongs as a “must-read”, not only for its truth, but also for its gripping dialogue. You did it again, Mr. Richter! Bravo!

  • Jack Levine: The Blowout

ROBERT LEBLANC’s romantic comedy is a delightful piece to read and would fit into an evening of short plays. “The Blowout” has the ingredients one wants in a comedy: true to real life, twists and misdirection from where you think it’s headed, and a fast paced dialogue. Good work!

  • Jack Levine: Doppel Date

JOHN BUSSER’s “Doppel Date” had me laughing out loud throughout his brilliantly written play. The witty dialogue is so much fun to read, will certainly be a joy for actors to perform, and will definitely have the audience in stitches. This is truly a work of art! Bravo!
