  • David Lipschutz: An Apéritif [a 1-minute play]

Oofta! AN APERITIF is a creepy, well-crafted play by Steven G. Martin. While only one minute in length, it is so much more than that, and audiences will leave thinking about it long after the play has ended.

  • David Lipschutz: Din Din

DIN DIN is a fantastic dark comedy. Don't want to give anything away in my recommendation, so please give this one a read. Better yet, find a production and purchase a ticket! Great work to Greg Mandryk.

  • David Lipschutz: On the Eighth Day of Hanukkah My True Love Gave to Me

ON THE EIGHTH DAY OF HANUKKAH MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME is a wonderful and sweet play with Jewish themes (if the title didn't give that away!). Morey Norkin's writing had me reminiscing about my Bubbie and Zayde, of blessed memory. As a bonus, it is a great opportunity with roles for older actors.

  • David Lipschutz: Just Like In The Movies

As someone who has watched over a dozen Hallmark holiday movies this season (HELP!), Joe Swenson's JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES perfectly encapsulates the final scene trope and then turns it on its head. Get in the holiday spirit and give this one a read!

  • David Lipschutz: This Grass Kills People

In THIS GRASS KILLS PEOPLE, Daniel Prillaman takes us on a journey. I was hooked right from the start. What first feels like a dark comedic dystopian play turns into an even darker conclusion. This play is cool, funny, and unexpectedly terrifying!

  • David Lipschutz: Magic: The Jargoning: Alpha Strike

MAGIC: THE JARGONING is a ridiculous and hilarious one-minute play by Sam Heyman. I kept thinking, "Oh boy, I have no idea what they're saying," and then we get that ending PSA that had me cackling.

  • David Lipschutz: Red Wine (MONOLOGUE)

Oooo, RED WINE is a wonderful and engaging play centered around this sarcastic, classic Hollywood leading lady-turned-femme fatale. Check out this sharp, well-crafted monologue by Peter Fenton.

  • David Lipschutz: Another Park, Another Sunday

ANOTHER PARK, ANOTHER SUNDAY is a beautiful and thought-provoking play by Philip Middleton Williams. It is a gentle reminder to live each day to the fullest. Give this wonderful two-hander a read!

  • David Lipschutz: Memento Mori

Wow. MEMENTO MORI is a beautiful and haunting and tragic play. I've listened to a lot of stellar productions with Gather By The Ghostlight, but this one may be my favorite. I'm so glad to see this play has an expansive production history. I hope to watch it live one day soon. Great work to Jonathan Cook.

  • David Lipschutz: Chekov's Gun

CHEKOV'S GUN is a hilariously written work by Patrick Vermillion! This is how you do a one-minute play.
