Playwright Daniel Prillaman takes the readers/listeners/audience members on a truly epic journey. I feel this play would fit perfectly late night on Adult Swim. THE UNEXPECTED DELIGHT OF SNOW BIRDS is, dare I say, an unexpected delight of a play. It’s funny. It’s sad. It’s incredibly witty (my goodness, Claire is hilariously mean yet somehow endearing with her insults). The banter between these two is engaging and palpable. I always ALWAYS love reading Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend’s plays.

SEXILED is a beautiful and poignant two-hander with characters that feel real and layered. Sam Heyman has artfully crafted this unexpected moment between strangers.

MISSED DISCONNECTIONS is a super funny play about a meet-cute (or should I say meet-cutes?) gone horribly and hilariously awry. Samara Siskind gloriously utilizes the underutilized online forum known as "Missed Connections". I was lucky to see this one live with the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

FOR RICHARD, FOR POORER is an immensely charming, sweet, and endearing play. I love the contrast between the two characters, and I love even more the love they have for each other. Great work to Steven G. Martin!

Oofta! AN APERITIF is a creepy, well-crafted play by Steven G. Martin. While only one minute in length, it is so much more than that, and audiences will leave thinking about it long after the play has ended.

DIN DIN is a fantastic dark comedy. Don't want to give anything away in my recommendation, so please give this one a read. Better yet, find a production and purchase a ticket! Great work to Greg Mandryk.

ON THE EIGHTH DAY OF HANUKKAH MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME is a wonderful and sweet play with Jewish themes (if the title didn't give that away!). Morey Norkin's writing had me reminiscing about my Bubbie and Zayde, of blessed memory. As a bonus, it is a great opportunity with roles for older actors.

As someone who has watched over a dozen Hallmark holiday movies this season (HELP!), Joe Swenson's JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES perfectly encapsulates the final scene trope and then turns it on its head. Get in the holiday spirit and give this one a read!
