  • David Lipschutz: The Parting Glass

THE PARTING GLASS is a heartfelt and emotionally potent play about grief, loss, and ultimately, acceptance. Great work to Cole Hunter Dzubak.

  • David Lipschutz: Tooth Or Dare

Oh my goodness, TOOTH OR DARE is such a silly and entertaining play. I love how effortlessly Emily McClain takes the play from light and fun to dark and sinister. I was able to listen to this on the "Gather by the Ghostlight" podcast.

  • David Lipschutz: The Demon Lady

THE DEMON LADY by John Patrick Bray is a fantastic short horror story. You should give it a listen on "Gather by the Ghostlight," and please PLEASE tell me when it is being staged live because I would love to see that set in action!

  • David Lipschutz: The Uninvited

THE UNINVITED is emotionally raw storytelling by Christopher Plumridge. Thank you for sharing this honest, internal monologue.

  • David Lipschutz: Lucid

LUCID is a powerful and moving play by Dana Hall. This piece is replete with beautiful prose that will stay with you long after the curtain closes. I had the pleasure of not only reading it, but I was able to watch a production with the Pittsburgh New Works Festival.

  • David Lipschutz: There Was a Spider on the Ceiling

THERE WAS A SPIDER ON THE CEILING is a hilarious slapstick comedy. I love how, although each character has a unique voice, they are all equally TERRIFIED of spiders. Great work to Ramsey Uhter!

  • David Lipschutz: The Swallows

In THE SWALLOWS, Kevin King has created this smart, well-crafted, and at moments very funny two-hander with complex and detailed characters. I had the pleasure of directing a production as an audio play with Eclectic Full Contact Theatre. The dialogue is natural and honest (and, as a result, made my job directing and the actors' jobs performing quite easy!). A true slice of life play. Give this one a read (or a listen!).

  • David Lipschutz: PTC (Parent-Teacher Conference)

PTC (PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE) is a fantastic play. We are treated to this moment in time between three queer characters (characters that are fully developed in only ten pages!) and the relationship between them. RJ Silva is an incredible playwright, and I look forward to reading/seeing more of his work.

  • David Lipschutz: Stork Patrol

STORK PATROL is a great satire by Debra A. Cole that shows the hypocrisy in some folks' "beliefs." Check this one out on the Theatrical Shenanigans podcast!

  • David Lipschutz: Lenora

LENORA is a beautiful and haunting play by Jonathan Cook that will stay with you long after you've stopped reading/listening/watching. I was able to experience this one on the Gather by the Ghostlight podcast.
