  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Starting Small - Monologue

When you read or see a piece of theatre that is about something you've never experienced there is always a concern of if you will be able to relate to the piece. This monologue gives the reader a very well constructed insight into the world of how things can be in a violent relationship and has many well structed sentiments that women will be able to relate to. I found it a heart wrenching piece that looks into a dark topic very well.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Snow Angel

This is a piece that does find you going "Aw" a lot! Vidalia's "innocent yet not" Dialogue with Glen is amusing as much as it is heart breaking in equal measure. At one point I found myself wanting to adopt them both! As the story unfolds you get more and more drawn into the magic of the story. It would make a lovely piece for a festive production and will have you feeling festivity in every fibre!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: CHRISTMAS IS ALL YOU WANT IT TO BE

As an avid lover of Christmas, I saw this title and couldn't resist! Its a lovely monologue that not only reflects the craziness of the festive time of year but also provides you with some lovely funny moments. I don't want to ruin it but this put some hilarious images in my head and won't fail to have you walking away smiling.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Feral

This is the first place that had me laughing at opening stage directions! The play only got better from there. The short sentences make the back and forth between the characters move along at a good pace. The dialogue also stacks funny points on top of funny point so you are giggling most of the way through. However, I found the sudden turn from humour to the tender moment between the two characters really beautiful and it gave the play a nice sense of balance.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Misfortune (a ten minute play)

This play is an absolute riot! It starts funny and by the end I was laughing out loud! It also has multiple layers of funny too! The fast paced dialogue, the biting remarks from the various characters and the brilliant physical comedy (won't say too much to ruin it) stack together to make this piece a wonderfully funny short play. If I saw this at a festival I think it would stand great chances!

An emotional fast paced roller coaster follows you through this play. I've never read any Checkov (I was always told it was really complicated) but I have to say this has intrigued me to. The characters are really brought to life in their dialogue and just when you think you have things all set, another emotion kicks in. Its the play that keeps on giving!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Power Play

An intriguing piece that is a balance between amusing back and forth about the unique situation the characters have found themselves in (and the husbands slow realisation of what things are actually like) balanced with dark moments relating to his career in the forces. What I love most of all is despite all the chaos that's going on around them the characters still have a love for each other that shines as their light in the shadows (pardon the cliché!) A wonderful piece!

I'm not normally one for post apocalyptic themed plays but I was pleasantly surprised by this piece. A wonderful balancing act of a thrilling journey set against a tense and dangerous backdrop with tender moments that really make you feel for the characters. Would be intrigued to see how a director could bring this piece to life and ensure the story and characters are given justice, as they definitely deserve to be!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: SANCTITY

A Fabulously intriguing piece! The layout of the piece (flitting in and out of past events and how those scenes interact with the main storyline) is brilliant! Eileen Kinsella would make an amazing character for any actress to play. Her biting witty and humorous commentary in places allows you truly to see her as a character even when just reading the script. I heartily believe this piece would make a brilliant production for an intimate theatre and would have the audience on the edge of the seat and go away talking about it!

This piece takes a brilliant twist on what you can actually do with a performance on Zoom. Its a brilliantly clever back and forth that keeps the audience guessing right the way through. I also love that it comes with a tender moment towards the end. A lovely piece.
