  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Big Ass, Basic White Girl Water Bottle

Its always amazed me with the layers that Deb can create within a production! Not only, as an audience, are you entertained from the moment you see 'Stan' but also once you look beyond that wonderfully funny and creative representation you are also given very real dialogue between the generations about their different interpretations of what 'taking care of yourself' means. To me, it felt like a very real conversation I could see taking place between a mother and her daughter trying to understand the other's perspective with Stan in the middle. Its a scenario perfectly framed!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Death of Stand Up

So, as a lover of stand up comedy this play felt unbelievably (and scarily) real as a vision of how the world could become if 'policing of comedy' is taken to the ultimate extreme. Its a play that offers quick paced back and forth dialogue, a realistic perspective of what the world of comedy could become and its something you can be entertained by as well as inspiring thought about how you feel about the entertainment you love and where it could be going. Brilliantly constructed!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Miss Shakespeare

"We women don’t get enough credit for all that we’ve done" - A wonderfully powerful for an equally powerful and fascinating play that takes a fascinating idea and explores it. The characters debate the idea that Shakespeare could be a woman with great realism to the point that I can see people debating this play themselves in the pub long after the curtain has gone down. Dan has created an idea, explored and now offers it as a gift for you to produce as a homage to, what could have been, a very influential woman.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: St. John of Suburbia

We have the great privilege of reading this piece as part of our Sunday evening play reading and it was fabulous to be a part of! Its a wonderfully quirky and unique piece that explores the lives of two writers of erotic fiction (or is it porn?) and the craziness that goes along with it. The wonderful dialogue moves quickly back and forth giving the piece a wonderful pace and drawing the audience into this fascinating and funny story. I highly recommend giving it a read!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Tastes Like Chicken

Oh my God this piece draws you in as though there's a lasso coming out of the screen. From the word go, when you are introduced to the survivors cooking an 'unknown' meat you find yourself DYING to know what they are cooking! From there Marily expertly twists and turns you through the story with so many misleading points that by the time you are told what it is, it amounts to the perfect tension release! Its a great short piece for a festival, simple to stage, very funny to watch and is sure to draw an audience in!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Hubble Bubble

This piece had me giggling throughout. I loved the fact that I could hear the voices of the three characters in my head as these two witches try and find their third witch, while dealing with the generational gap between themselves and their only applicant. Its a piece that is sure to entertain both older and younger generations alike! Read it, Produce it and have fun with it! (Although that last one is pretty much a given!)

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Fly Away

It sounds odd, but I've often watched flies buzzing around (or flying into windows) and wondering what they are thinking/talking about. This wonderfully original short play explores just that. Marilyn has created two fablous characters in these flies and, while it may not be a story a human audience will related to, it will definitely entertain and offers actors the chance to play two very unique and new characters. Its a great piece to read and will have you smiling at several points throughout, it certainly did me!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Terrible at Names – A 1-Minute Play

Never has 13 lines had sucha a powerful meaning, especially in the society we live in. In this one minute play Deb takes a look at the titles we give people and how much of an impact it can have. Its a piece that could easily be discussed/debated for an hour in the pub afterwards but I also love that it comes with a positive end, which you really should find out for yourselves!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: How Can I Help? – A One-Minute Offensive Play

Every time I read a play about the reproductive rights issues in the USA I find myself thinking 'there's no way it can be THIS bad' and this was one of those moments. At first I thought the story was going to go one way but then Deb expertly surprised me in a way that involked passionate anger and a deep sadness for people like Volunteer, who are really trying to help and being attacked. This is a powerful glimpse into a heart breaking scenario. To produce it would inform/educate and invoke emotions for sure!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Threesome

Oh god! Jessie has my ultimate sympathy! Anyone in an audience watching this play will be able to empathise with the idea of stress causing our bodies to do unwanted things. Thats what Deb has brought to life here with three wonderfully created characters. Its a unique perspective of a scenario that I think an audience will find very relatable!
