I've always known Deb to create fabulous plays for female performers and here she does this in spades! I'm always in awe of anyone who can write a musical and this one is a brilliantly unique story interlaced with wonderful songs and dialogue. It's no wonder this piece has already had a production history because it offers so much to performers in the way it's written and the roles they would get to bring to life.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Motive, Means, Opportunity

As a lover of the crime genre, I couldn't not read this piece and Robert did not disappoint! The play unfolds at the perfect pace, offering the audience particles of the full picture but at the same time, in true mystery fashion, keeping you guessing. It's a wonderful example of the genre that would offer wonderful opportunities for performers and audiences alike to experience this tale. So go on, have a read and enjoy the wonderful roller coaster the playwright has created!

Mental health is a complicated and delicate topic to explore and Dana Hall has done a fabulous job of exploring it here. Life-changing moments, pressure, self-doubt, family relationships, and the complexities that go along with those topics are all explored here in moments of humour and emotion in a delicate balance. I've read many of Dana's pieces and, like so many others you feel the passion she brings to a story and I guarantee an audience will feel the same. If you want to offer performers the opportunity to perform brilliantly powerful roles, this is the play for you!

The way this play draws you in, desperate to know how things will unfold is intoxicating in the best possible way. George has created a story that is guaranteed to complete the trifecta of great theatre, it entertains to the point where you are desperate to see the story through to its conclusion, it offers emotional moments in buckets (I shed tears multiple times) and it will no doubt inspire discussion. It's a story that invokes a powerful emotional response with characters that you can't help but feel for as they lay this dark and provocative piece before you.

How much are we willing to negociate to stay in a relationship? That's what Paul brilliantly explores in this delightfully intrieguing and funny two hander. You get to be a fly on the wall for a conversation between two friends as they discuss their relationships. There are parts of the conversation you expect and some parts that suprise you in a brilliant way, thus drawing you in to see where its going. The play offers lovely roles for two performers and an insightful look at how complicated relationships can be.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Possibly the First of Many

We all know about the past coming back to haunt you but Scott has created a wonderful twist on that in this two-handed exchange. It draws you in from the first line and (speaking personally) by the end I was leaning forward, eager to see where the conversation was going, and it didn't disappoint. In Scott's usual way, he has created characters you NEED to know more about and placed them in a situation you NEED to see unfold. It offers moments of tension, curiosity and moments of humour. What more could you ask for?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: She Sells Seashells

By the end of this emotionally powerful play, I could see both Sally and George at their house as though it was a painting on the wall of a gallery. That's how brilliantly Joe constructs the couple as they struggle through, what is a tragically hard time of life. The conversation guides you on a rollercoaster as you feel your heartstrings plucked. This play creates a prime opportunity for two older performers to certainly bring out an emotional response from an audience because I guarantee you this piece won't fail to do so.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Bear - Bears on a Plane!

The side of history that was never told but Chris has done so brilliantly in another fabulous installment from our favourite bear. As with the other installments, I don't want to give away too much about the sequents of events but it is my belief that these monologued installments would make a wonderful skit show on either television or radio. The character is one you'll never get tired of hearing stories from, leaning in as you are desperate to know how this latest dramatic installment will conclude!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Unrest Cure

We read this piece as part of our play reading evening and its a deceptive piece. It lures you in to this idea that its a 'nice' piece in a polite and polished society and then the true agenda kicks you in the gut! Its a powerful piece that provides moments of tension and heightened emotion all at once. It also offers powerful moments in spades and offers a feeling similar to antonine artaud's theatre of cruelty brilliantly.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: HUMAN REMAINS

From the moment I read the character's names I couldn't help but smile at this piece because they are simply fabulous character names. During this wonderful ten-minute piece you, as an audience member get to watch Ethelbert and Lavonia go through the most bizarre and extraordinary journey that starts with a box of remains being delivered! It's a piece that will keep you guessing and with those guesses come the giggles. It's a wonderfully paced fun piece that won't fail to make an audience laugh, I know it did me!
