  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Soft Rains

I found myself leaning further and further forward reading this play, desperate to know what events led Arlo and Zoe to the situation in which they find themselves. That 'being drawn in' feeling will follow you right through this play as the emotional rollar coaster proceeds between the two characters. Just as new things are discovered by the audience, new questions come into play. It would make such a powerful piece to perform because it will most definitely draw the audience in and make them feel for the characters in their situation, which you should read to find out about!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Hook in Hell

Oh wow! That's one hell of an alternative look at two well-known characters, and I love it! The tale of Peter Pan (or more specifically his nemesis and his side kick) has been expertly analysed here and the result...an intrieguing back and forth that questions their very existence in this well known story, as well as the fate they must both constantly suffer. Quite frankly, I'll never look at Captain Hook the same again. Chris has created a fabulous alternative perspective on a well known story and presented it brilliantly! Would make a great duo performance!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sunbrella (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

So, one thing I know about Deb's plays is that the NEVER disappoint and this is just another example of that. In a world where Tik-Tok, Instagram, Twitter and other social media platforms are presumed tools of the young, its fabulous to see Deb turn it on its head in this wonderfully funny short conversation. Its sure to have an audiences giggling all the way through, especially when you come to the twist at the end, which, like in a lot of Deb's plays, is perfectly timed.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Storm in a Teacup (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

We read this piece as part of our Sunday play reading and it was just fabulous to read from the beginning. It's a fabulously funny scenario that would be enjoyed being seen by any audience and performed by any performers, complete with giggles galore! I won't say too much about how the story unfolds but its got fabulous dialogue, wonderful characters and twists that you won't see coming. An utter triumph!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Wayward Seniors

We read this piece for our Sunday night and it was a wonderful twist on the 'standardised' world of elderly care. It's a piece that I will guarantee will have an audience giggling through it. Once again Rex has taken the world and turned it on its head in a fabulous way, which made it a fabulous play to read/be a part of!

So, we had the privilege of reading this piece as part of our Sunday night play reading and I was close to tears by the end! The idea of losing someone you love, physically or mentally is a horrible thing and Deb has created a beautiful (& heartbreaking) piece where Rose and Barney share a moment but not in the way it ideally should be shared. It's a fabulous piece with characters that will tug on your heartstrings. Once again, Deb has left me near tears, but in a way that is a credit to her as a writer!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: For a Man Your Age

We had the great pleasure of reading this piece as part of our Sunday evening play reading and, once again Don, has the fabulous ability to create believable characters and set them in a brilliantly witty back and forth that a lot of people in relationships will be able to relate to. I loved the line "You like taking care of me just as much as I like being taken care of." Audiences will love this play as it presents a great perspective of age and relationships. It won't fail to put a smile on your face!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Little Christmas Tree

We had the great privilege of producing this place for the audio play podcast Theatrical Shenanigans and it is as beautiful as it is utterly devastating. Dana has created two wonderful characters in Mr and Mrs Clark and the hardships they endure come bubbling to the surface in this scene. Its a play that's impossible for you not to feel something and its one that I had a great time producing!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

So, I have recommended this play once before, as a reader but I wanted to recommend it again with my producer hat on. We had the great privilege of producing this place for the audio play podcast Theatrical Shenanigans and it worked so fabulously as a piece of audio theatre. As an audience you are given so much but Ryan also holds bits back and drip feeds the twists and turns of this tale so expertly its sure to keep an audience guessing. Thank you for this great piece that I had the great joy of producing.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Remembering Elizabeth

We had the great privilege of producing this place for the audio play podcast Theatrical Shenanigans and it was such a wonderfully touching play to produce. The feeling that your memories are deserting you is a horrible one, both for the person in question and those they love. That is what Jack captured brilliantly. It would make a wonderfully powerful piece to perform and possibly, like me, the audience will shed tears! Thank you so much Jack for writing this piece as it was wonderful to produce!
