The world of the dead is one often explored by creatives but I think that this is one of the most fascinating and emotive pieces I've read. No one really wants to consider what lies beyond but for these women they are stuck considering what lies beyond the beyond, an idea that is sure to get an audience talking in the pub afterwards. Maggie offers three amazing roles to chose between and frames them in a great story! Performers talk about Lady Macbeth being a dream role to perform, I'd happily play Avis, Cecily or Bridget instead!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: DREAM HOUSE

As someone who's recently gone through the 'ordeal' of buying a house the ordeal that Chloe and David go through is very relatable (although maybe not to that exchange). That's the genius of what Deb has created here, a relatable scenario (house related stress), along side characters you want to feel for and then mixes in a healthy dose of chaos in the form of their 'determined house guest'. It offers a cast great choices of variety in roles and is a fabulous piece that a director could have such fun with! A truly fabulous work!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: APEX PREDATOR

The tension in this piece is present almost from the word go and I found myself moving back and forth on trying to figure out what these guys were going to do. Its such a powerful piece that offers three characters you can believe in and feel concern or distain for. Couple all of that with an ending that leaves you DYING to know what happens next and Rachael has created the prefect mixture for a play that will entertain, invoke an emotive response and leave an audience wanting more!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Chosen Herd

"Sometimes things are planned and sometimes things just happen". That was the thought that immediately crossed my mind when I read this piece and what Bob has done hear is create a fascinating 'happening' that would be great fun to perform, design, direct and observe. You can see the events of Lee's night of greatness in your mind even as you read it, which tells you how amazing it would be to see life, with the right performer. The vivid imagery captures the imagination in this wonderful piece pretty much from the word go!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Stockholm Or...

The fascinating thing I found about this monologue is it could easily be related to any element of life. The idea of taking that final step towards something new but being held back by something or someone in our past is something a lot of audiences would relate to in this monologue. That coupled with the many creative ways it could be presented and the power behind the words makes this a fascinating page to read and an example of why one minute pieces can work.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sacrifice

Gorgeous, Gross and riveting all in one go! The world of cults is one I don't know much about but the debates over sacrifice and what being a follower means is a wonderfully intriguing conversation sprinkled with giggly moments that Jacquie is an expert at. But then, just as you think you know where this is going she provides a gorgeously timed and brilliantly constructed twist that will have audiences going 'wait, what?' It will shock, entertain and captivate in equal measure, basically a 'Floyd-Priskorn Special'!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Low Class Boner Pills

Well, with a title like that I couldn't not read it and I didn't regret it for a second. We have all had silly spam emails delivered to our mailboxes every now and again but we don't consider the world behind them. Well, Chris has, in a fabulously funny way! I laughed out loud to the point where I had to close my window! This will raise a laugh from men/women/old and young! Great marketing at its finest!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Lucid

My god! I had to sit back and take a breath when I finished this piece. Dana Hall has brought the struggles of this family to life in a way that shows forces the audience to confront the darkness that exists in an entirely unapologetic way. Its a play that swims through emotions to the point where you don't realise how far you've leaned forward while reading. Its a piece that feels very real while at the same time offering a great opportunity for a director/producer to create something beautiful and emotional.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Property of The Louvre [monologue]

Oh Pablo, you spin a wonderful tale of crime and tension as we, the audience await to hear word of whether you are discovered and then how this tale will end. The character is so wonderfully real and if I was watching it perform I'd have to see it twice, once with my eyes open to enjoy the character and then with my eyes closed to allow the images created by the wonderful words form in my mind. Its a monologue that offers everything really!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Two Sleeping Babes

Well that's just not fair! Samantha Oty has left me on tender hooks dying to know how Mrs St. Clair's fate will unfold following this scene, that's how captivating this piece is! Not just that but I am sure that if I saw this with friends we would spend HOURS in the pub debating the fairness of the society that is judging Mrs St. Claire for a crime she may or may not have committed. Its a fascinating and complex scenario that entices an audience to debate and is sure to leave them wanting to know more!
