YES! That was an unbelievably satisfying ending! You see articles/videos all the time where entitled people feel they are just allowed to ask a stranger for 'a favour' that most of the time will leave that stranger with the shitty end of the stick. Well, Deb takes that one step further when the flight attend actually takes a side. Its a wonderfully witty and funny back and forth that is sure to have an audience laughing all the way through as the situation gets more ludicrous, and especially at the wonderfully satisfying ending!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Two Monologues, a Sandwich and a Floyd-Priskorn

I didn't realise I got a shout out in this piece, but that's not the reason I read it and certainly not the reason I found it hilariously funny! The creative mind has long been considered something too dangerous to explore by someone who doesn't know how it works, and even then, every creative mind is different, as is evident by the options discussed in this dialogue. However, taking all that into account Chris still manages to explore the act of creativity and the pain some of us (cough Daniel!) inflict on our characters, wonderfully funny and imaginative.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Pit

Daniel Prillaman has created something wonderfully clever in this piece. As the audience you are not distracted by any complex sets or elaborate costumes, instead you are gifted by fabulously tense and provocative dialogue and a relationship where you are desperate to know what will happen next. From the very first 'consideration over coffee' I was utterly fascinated by these characters and I think any performer would be lucky to bring them to live, as would a director for making this piece a reality!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Broken Iris

Right from the character list I was intrigued by this tale. The story tells of how much a person's life and relationships can change between the cold of November and the green of Spring. It explores the darkness of human nature and relationships with no apology and allows the audience to witness a snapshot of these characters lives. Its a tale that draws you in because it feels real and won't fail to invoke a response from anyone who has taken a moment to consider the darkness and light that exist in life's events.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Penelope: A Lesson in Drowning

The legends of Greece are classic tales, some more well known that others but in this case Baylee has provided a whole new perspective and delightful twist to it. Something I loved about this piece was the stage directions allows for the director, producer and performers to consider how they want the to explore and represent the entertaining, emotive and poetic actions of the characters. Its a wonderful re-invention of a classic that will take draw you back to ancient times.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Workload

I could see Annie stood in her kitchen talking through the whirlwind that is her daily life from the very beginning of this brilliantly constructed monologue. In addition to being a brilliantly real and entertaining story to watch it also brings to life wonderfully realistic character in Annie, who would be amazing to perform. In addition to all of that, the piece itself forces the audience to consider how equal is a relationship really and when a person is asked 'what do you do all today?' Well Annie answers that question, and more! Wonderfully entertaining!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Tea for Two

Away from the chaotic world of technology its so refreshing to see a two lovely characters appreciating the simple things in life. Its a piece that can't fail to put a smile on your face as you are privileged to be a fly on the wall during this conversation. It offers a great chance for two older performers to play two wonderfully believable characters.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: In the Dumps

Loss is a horrible thing to have to go to but sometimes it is made more bearable by having the right person by your side. Both of these things are explored in this fun but emotional piece that explores Catherine and Sergeant discuss and explore this complex topic in an interesting setting. It offers a lot in the way of character and any performer will enjoy exploring them just as much as an audience will enjoy watching them!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Twenty Million Steps

We all know that our body is there for us, sometimes its to support us but sometimes we can have not great experiences as a result of its malfunction. Both sides of this are explored brilliantly by Jan in this lovely monologue in which a performer gets to explore the role of the scars that make up our life experiences. A wonderfully unique perspective and character.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: NOT PLANNED

Oh my God! Deb has created a fabulous tension fuelled conversation between a mother and a teen, both who are suffering through loss in different ways. From the very beginning she draws you in and makes you NEED to know what happened. I think this could make an amazing story of what actually happened to arrive at this scene, what the truth is and how the lives of these two people ended up here. That aside, its a brilliant snapshot piece with characters you can't help but feel for and would be amazing to perform! Fabulous as always Deb!
