  • How to Swindle a Nun, Extort a Museum and Save a Masterpiece from Oblivion

This wonderful example of humourous and witty chaos offers exactly what the title says it will, and so much more! Its a brilliant journey that twists and turns in an expert fashion and keeps the audience hooked from the word go. Put simply, its a play that takes you on a fabulous journey and offers a fabulous chance for performers and audiences to be a part of something special!
  • Hearts of Brothers' Temper

I always love a play that educates and brings the stories of history to life, mainly because it gives the piece a new dimension of 'realism'. Not that I needed any help with that here at all! The wonderful dialogue between threse three brothers as they struggle to work together creatively travells along at a brilliant pace, drawing the audience in and wanting to see how these moments affected history before wrapping it up and answering those all important questions, wonderfully done!

So, when I saw the title was 'oh no, a sports play. I know NOTHING about sports' but then...I was amply rewarded (and then some) with an amazing commentry on a society that has allowed the banning of certain books, plays and other entertianment to run rampant. Its a very poignant story given how things are at the moment and is a play that is sure to inspire debate and make people sit up and listen to how dangerous 'banning' can be. As is often the case, Philip Middleton Williams has provided a piece of stage power!

Oh my god Kate you are a bad person, in the best possible way! By that I mean that this wonderfully witty back and forth between this pair of unlikely travellers had me giggling all the way through. It was just an amazing example of domedic timing, coupled with a story that just keeps on giving!
  • Hidden Seashells: A Yoga Adventure

Understanding and being able to process your emotions is hard enough as an adult. In this wonderfully intrieguing piece, Janine takes that problomatic scenario and brings it into the life of a young girl. What you, as the audience are provided with as a result is a powerful and entertaining piece that explores feelings, why we feel those feelings, how we feel those feelings and how we feel when we don't want to feel those feelings any more. Its a fascinatingly constructed story that is sure to reach both children and adults alike.

"You make choices. They don’t make you." To me this was the pinnacle at the centre of this tale. Vinny has a dream of being with the woman he loves, Cupcake has a dream of being a dancer and Luanne sits in the middle of it all. Its a wonderfully emotionally motivated piece that explores the idea of dreams, disappointment and how giving up can sometimes seem like the only thing to do. Any of the three characters would be amazing to play and the raw emotion is something any audience will relate to.
  • Grown-Ass Louis

"Don’t feed me a plate of bull crap and call it pizza." is one example of the very real moments that are presented in this play, which is ironic, gift its dream status. In our dreams we are often presented with something we don't want to face and that is apparent for Louis. Its a wonderfully raw, emotional and powerful piece that could be a treat to design, given its dreamlike nature.

Sam has a gift for creating plays about what it is to be human. In this case he takes the horror of war and PTSD and presents you with a snapshot of how it affects people. Ed has suffered much in the ways of loss and is consumed by guilt, all of which feels very real as he faces what happened to his friend Kym and the prospect of having to return to that war, for the greater good. This is a play that offers great pace, intrigue and emotion. Its sure to see audiences discussing it afterwards!
  • Gloom, Doom and Soul-Crushing Misery (10 min.)

So, when I first read the title of this play I thought I knew exactly what to expect, so imagine my surprise when I found myself smiling at the character descriptions alone! From there you are treated to a wonderfully humorous piece that celebrates...well the emotions we have vs the ones we want. It twists and turns, amusing you all the while before the fabulous shock with the ending! It offers a great chance for performers to play complex, yet wonderful characters in this wonderfully titled and constructed piece!
  • GURL TALK by Deb Meyer

In a world dominated by glossy magazines and glamourous social media pictures telling young women how they NEED to look to be attractive its such a charming change of pace to meet a friend like Nikki. The conversation these two girls find themselves in is very relatable and very real as they debate the idea that getting surgery or dieting will make their lives better. Its a glorious celebration of being just the way you are and would be a great piece for young people to see.
