  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Stork Patrol

When the recent events were instigated my instant feeling was one of rage and fury at how people can be so closed minded that they think forcing women to bare children won't have catastrophic and devastating consequences! Well...Deb Cole has been in my mind because she has perfectly captured that feeling in this brilliantly written piece. Brad and Ashley epitomise the people who supported the Roe Vs Wade decision and now, in Stork Patrol, they are having to live with those consequences. I think this piece would make an amazing piece to open some eyes. Fabulously done Deb!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Reply All

Oh lord, that was funny! The 'oh so familiar' rolling eye feeling at the 'reply all' function being over used in an email chain is something that can resonate with so many. That, plus the witty back and forth between the ever frustrated work colleagues will have laughter escalating right through the piece! Its a situation an audience will understand and empathise with and have them enjoying this piece as much as I did.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Ballad of the Disappointing Daughter

Mother daughter relationships are complicated at the best of times and Eric has framed this one brilliantly. You can't help but feel for Trudy as she desperately tries to make her mother happy. Its a mirror image of how the old and the young value their lives. The back and forth between mother and daughter is a situation an audience could relate to easily, either in part or completely. That is what will make this a desired piece to observe. Eric has a unique talent for observing the human condition.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: In Fairness

This is a piece of discovery and by that I mean you discover something new the further you get into the mysterious world of Fairness. Jarred holds his audience in suspense as you discover what lurks behind the mystery but never being presented with the fill picture. Its a truly fascinating tension fuelled spectacle that will have audiences thinking about it as they leave the theatre asking "will we ever know what fairness truly is?" A brilliantly constructed piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Plentitude

We had the great privilege of reading this play as part of our Sunday and for me, it had a very 'Alice in Wonderland' feel to it as the chaos in the lives of the characters ensues. Its a play that questions and a makes you question. The swift back and forth makes you as an audience member want to know more, need to know more. Its a fabulous play of true intriegue in the lives of fascinating characters!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Stiff Competition

As I read through this brilliant piece of comedy theatre with a veil of darkness I couldn't help but think, "well some parents do take school competitions very seriously". Once again John has taken an the ordinary event of a school science fair and given it a wonderfully brilliant twist! The quick and witty back and forth between teacher and parent is brilliantly done and would make a wonderful sketch for any actors who love to hear an audience laugh, and trust me, they will!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sexual Politics in the Worst Place

Two words, just brilliant! John has taken the stereotypes of American teen horror, escalated it a million degrees, given it a nice twist and served it brilliantly 'blended'. You would think its impossible to laugh at three girls being hunted by a masked killer but John made it happen and, as with all his work, he does it fabulously!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: And Try NOT To Enjoy Your Stay

Its dark, its witty and it had me giggling all the way through. John has a gift for dark humour and I think this wouldn't be out of place as a comedian's stand-up routine! The dark humour intertwined with the brilliant corny jokes (which work with the brilliantly designed character) would make this a great piece for a Halloween show, just fabulous!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Long Overdue Talk With Henry

This is A piece that creates a curve of a smile as you watch as long suffering Gayle drifts from polite hostess telling a story to manic woman at her wits end. The personality shifts as well as the seamless back and forth between these two sides of her personality is brilliantly done and would be a great monologue for any actress to perform!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Devil and the DMV

A giggle right from the word go! Nora has taken a tedious situation that mot of us are familiar with and given it a genius twist. The fact that even the devil is not exempt from the incredibly tedious and complex process they have made me smile. Its a brilliantly witty back and forth that would be perfect in a festival to get an audience laughing! Read it and brighten your day!
