  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Taylor-Made

In a world where 'designer babies' are always a hot topic for discussion, John has created a very interesting piece on that premise. Having a baby is a nerve-wracking experience enough but then adding a million multiple choice questions and you get this wonderfully brilliant paced comical play with a wonderfully glorious ending. It definitely gets a Y from me!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: It's Not Blood

For me this was a beautiful, yet tragic scene as two brothers talk about Playboy, Blood and prostitutes but the real subject is more emotional, yet shielded by boyish crudeness and bravado. Their discussion of those taken too soon and what it means to their family and to them is a moment you feel privileged to be a part of. Their family and its legacy is one I'd be intrigued to learn more of in this wonderfully constructed piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A DOUBT MY PLAY (10-minutes)

As a playwright, you become all to familiar with those nagging and critical voices in your head. They push you to the point of high tension, which is what Glenn did brilliantly at the start of this play. Its a great example of how taxing the art of playwriting can be, on the emotions as well as the mind. Although the writer says "its only a ten minute play", its a ten minute play that delivers volumes in insight and intrigue into the world of being a playwright.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Vegetables are Revolting!

Just fabulous and a great example of how characters can come from anywhere! Morey has created a wonderfully fun piece that will keep you giggling from the beginning. The incessantly creative word play is brilliant and I think this is a play that can be enjoyed by both adults and children! Another great work from Morey!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Parent Teacher Interviews

YES! You tell them Mrs Crowe! We all know how difficult it can be being a parent, teacher or indeed student at a new school, particularly when one of those three isn't working harmoniously with the others. That is made very apparent in this wonderful witty piece where entitled parents are put in their place by a frustrated teacher. The dialogue is brilliantly paced and the whole piece make me smile. Wonderfully written Lindsey!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Kindness of Enemies

A brilliant fast paced back and forth that explores the roller coaster of emotions experienced 'the morning after'. The two characters change positions on how they feel about what has happened between them which makes this a most intriguing piece to observe and a fascinating commentary on the complexity of relationships.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: HELEN (a monologue)- A Little Love Goes A Long Way

AW! I love it! A literal embodiment of the phrase "good things come in small packages". That coupled with this love story between an unlikely pair makes a great monologue piece which I think would capture the hearts and minds of audiences brilliantly!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Covenant

We had the great pleasure of reading this play as part of one of our Sunday night play readings and its a fascinatingly intrieguing piece! A look at the complex life of being inside a cult is explored amazingly well by the writer. The tense and dark back and forth dialogue that explores the darkness that exists within the Covenant is brilliantly re-enforced by the wonderfully constructed characters. Its a fascinating piece that I believe could leave audience in fascinated conversation!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Fox Tail

Discovering your individuality and not giving a s**t what anyone else things is a truly wonderful thing for any young person! That is what the writer has brilliantly captured here in this young person. The comparison between this character and the fox is spot on and I have to say, I wish she'd been my friend at school! Teen monologues can be incredibly complex things to writer but Deb Cole continues to present piece after piece wonderfully written and leaves you with a wonderful feeling of knowing you've read something great!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Fierce

Debra has an amazing ability to capture the complex world of young people as they work their way through life! Once again, she has taken a character you want to root for and created a wonderfully constructed (if a little heart breaking) speech about how much pressure there is in life to live up to the words of the bard "little, but fierce!" However, as I read through, I could feel the characters inner strength through her desires to be 'normal' and in my opinion, she is fierce! Brilliantly created and fierce!
