Awwwwwwwwwww! This wonderful short piece resonated with me so much and will for anyone who has ever opened their wardrobe and thought "Nothing suits me!" Jaxson offers wonderful insight here into the harshness and self-doubt that can come with aging for women. He creates two very believable characters, provides the audience with a familiar situation that some will empathise with and then wraps it in lovely warm and caring dialogue with a great ending. A beautifully framed snapshot of how having the right person in your life can make something that seems terrifying not so scary. Wonderfully...

Katelynn's Halloween plans sound pretty prefect to me! But then again there isn't anything I don't like about this piece. It starts with a remanence of an American High School Halloween Horror before Cole throws in more than one brilliantly timed twist. Once again, this writer has created a piece that I love as it stands but also makes me think about all the elements included individually and how they could each have their own story. There is nothing better than a play that entertains and inspires, it would make a fabulous piece for a Halloween show!

This isn't just a play, its a spectacle, and a fabulous one at that! I love plays that build an image in your mind even as you're reading them and that's what Nora has done here. With a great variety of characters this could be a great piece for a larger cast of both youngsters and and adults alike. Its a show like no other and will make you want to 'roll up, roll up'! For me, it highlights Nora's great gift for creating short plays that offer so much!

"Family is complicated" a phrase said, understood and empathised with by many. That is the phrase that Paul has perfectly captured in this beautifully paced, tension fuelled snapshot of a family drama. Its a play that keeps you guessing as far as the characters and their reactions to the circumstances they have found themselves in. I found myself leaning forward as I got more and more absorbed in the stories of this family. Its a play that offers emotion in spades and will resonate with anyone who has a complicated relationship with their family. Perfect for a festive piece!

Aw, this is such a beautiful piece! You can feel for Ollie as he talks about the man and that's what makes it such a wonderful emotional piece. Scott has a fabulous ability to create characters to feel for and this is a prime example of this.

As a lover of Shakesepeare this was a great piece to read with wonderful styled dialogue! Samantha has a wonderful gift to create uniquely styled pieces and this play is a perfect example of that. If you are looking for a festival piece that pays homage to Shakespeare and is a uniquely styled piece then this is the one for you. Could make a great piece for young people. This is why I love reading work by this writer!

This is a wonderful example of a snapshot of life in what was a hard time for everyone. The creation of two great characters sharing their problems in a time that is complex at least. I think that audiences will love being a part of these characters lives and they will empathise. That, to me is what makes great theatre.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: What Happened This Time?

A brilliant giggle inducing piece! You can see the chaos as you read. Its a wonderful example of physical comedy that escalates and will be sure to have your audience giggling from start to finish.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Chester

I will NEVER look at my sofa the same way again! This is such a gorgeous piece that won't fail to make you go "Awwwww" Chester is a wonderful character who has so much love to give but has suffered greatly at the hands of his families. Its a brilliantly unique idea that could be a lovely to perform for any actor. It makes you feel and possibly will make you want to restore your old furniture rather than casting it out, it certainly did me.

I've never been to New York and always wanted to, more so now. John creates a wonderful snapshot of a relationship between two people, both trying to find that place of belonging but believing very different things. I love the two very different characters, the quick back and forth bickering between the two of them and the brilliant varying conversation, all stemming from a discussion about one place. As a British person, I do also love their discussion about the weather. "Different degrees of hot aren’t seasons." is a line that had me giggling, and this play will you!
