  • Choices: A Ten-Minute Play
    23 Feb. 2024
Topical but not overly heavy handed, CHOICES is an excellent satire that at first appears comical (and it does have its genuinely funny moments), but then hits you in the face (in a good way) with the dark reality and relatability of its subject matter. JAMES MCLINDON has given us something to really stop and think about with this piece... and it's one I'll be pondering for a while.
  • Stay Awhile
    23 Feb. 2024
Poignant, heartbreaking, and achingly human. With STAY AWHILE, playwright DANA HALL invites us into the vulnerable inner world of a mother and daughter who are navigating some complex emotions together. The subject matter is compassionately handled without pulling too many punches, and its treatment of grief is relatable and raw. Beautiful work.
  • Moon Logic
    23 Feb. 2024
I had the pleasure of directing this piece for Rainy Day Artistic Collective and loved the experience. MOON LOGIC is funny and clever, but also an insightful and thought-out love letter to "retro" gaming that the nerd in me deeply appreciates. The characters create wonderful opportunities for actors to play, and the writing by DAVID LIPSCHUTZ also allows for a lot of fun design. A fabulous short play, highly recommended.
  • Impossible Theories Of Us
    16 Jan. 2024
I don't often gravitate towards sci-fi, but this play is a stunning exception. This is an achingly human, beautiful work that had me fully engaged the entire time. The relationship between Gina and Keith is tender, honest, and believable in a way that it takes incredible skill to capture. "Impossible Theories of Us" is sheer brilliance start to end; it deserves a full production, and soon.
  • A Lot of Time to Think
    14 Oct. 2023
An absolutely stunning piece that masters the complex and heavy emotions behind what is a true nightmare scenario for many people. It's not often that writing leaves me speechless, but this piece has done that. Amazing work by the excellent COLE HUNTER DZUBAK.
  • Wet Cat Tale (3 minutes)

Gripping and engaging in all the right ways-- kept me on my toes until the end!
  • Snails

This monologue gave me chills and made me think. What's between the lines and behind the story... that will sit with me for some time. A truly gripping piece by GEMMA COOPER-NOVACK. Excellent work.
  • Shades of Red
    11 Oct. 2023
I enjoyed this piece and its engaging characters all the way through, it managed to be dark and twisted in all the right ways while still holding some surprise for the very end. I also greatly appreciated how well tailored the play was to its medium of choice (Zoom/virtual). Excellent work by ERIN OSGOOD.
  • ANDY/ANDREW
    11 Oct. 2023
With this piece, SELMA HAZOURI brings us a thrilling and ultimately haunting tale of... well, I can't describe it without spoiling it, but the central character's journey through this piece gripped me the whole way through. I love the use of technology in this piece too. I'll be thinking about this one for a while.
  • The "Haunted House": A monologue
    4 Oct. 2023
Great twist at the end (I won’t spoil it) which I did not see coming. Vaughan strikes a great balance between lighthearted and suspense in THE “HAUNTED HOUSE” — this would be an excellent choice of piece for a Halloween or other spooky event.
