  • Christopher Plumridge: Believe Me - Version 2

Having read the first version of this great play by Rachel, I was compelled to read this expanded second version. The author has successfully taken her tense, gripping and claustrophobic play and added more drama, more story and more conflict. The result leaves the reader with so many unanswered questions, but mainly asking the big question that is poised at the end - "What would you do?" Excellent.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Shimmers

Oh my word this fantasy is so beautiful in every way, I only wish it could become reality as it is such a sweet notion. Lindsay has written a gem here, the relationship between her two characters is palpable and heart warming. In my close family we have a blind person, so this piece really touched my heart. I loved this!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Big Bad Kush

This short take on the Red Riding Hood story is awful fun, by which I mean awfully funny and bad, which makes it hilarious! The very thought of her and the wolf stoned, talking nonsense and the wolf forgetting what he was about to do is fantastic! I hope they released the 'Ghost' when they came down! Brilliant!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Fluffy!

I love plays where the author writes such clear and vivid stage directions, as Rachel does here. Any group wanting to produce this would have so much fun staging this short play. Aside from that, I particularly enjoyed how quickly her patents took to the 'newly reborn' Fluffy and happily agreed to take him home. The twist at the end is also inspired...Read it to find out yourself!

  • Christopher Plumridge: LIGHTS UP!

Having recently had the pleasure of reading Justin in an online reading of LIGHTS UP by Jack Levine, it serves as a reminder, to myself at least, to remember that I, or no one else is bigger than the show! This is a fun depiction of where someone, we all no that 'someone', who pushes the patience of the director. Great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Emotionless

This lovely play really highlights the warning 'be careful what you wish for' , chuck that in with a modern culture of TV and online shopping you have a recipe for some fun disaster! Rachel tells this perfectly. It left me wondering if there really should be a university called "I'm a medical guy.com"!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Enigma

The Enigma by Kate is a superb short monologue, funny from start to finish but you can't help feel sorry for the disillusioned narrator. Witty, pacy and a little sad, perfect!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Groupon-for-Two

This short by Kate is both hilarious and disturbing. Hilarious because it truly is, the interaction in their zoom cooking class is spot on, disturbing because it clearly depicts how ruthless and self centered people can be, especially online. There's two sharp sides to this fish filleting knife....Great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Cookie Cutter Christmas

This is such a beautiful play by Lindsay, moving, poignant and emotional. The idea itself is inspired, a yearly visit from a loved one stuck in a loop, how could anyone move away from a yearly opportunity to see a loved one passed? Simply stunning!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Suffocating

Wow! I have read a few pieces of this prolific authors work, this play goes way beyond in both content and quality. Dare I say this is Rachel's true vocation? In SUFFOCATING she tells the harrowing, gut wrenching story of the desperate plight of Charlotte as she's sold into a life of prostitution. Staged in one long, flowing scene, in a series of monologues and dialogues, this would be both visually gripping and uncomfortable in equal measure. I'm very keen to direct this play, A story which sadly still happens across the world and needs to be told! Incredible.
