  • Christopher Plumridge: PASS THE AGGREVATION

Oh poor Leah trying to get through to her parents to share her wonderful news, but this was so much fun to read. Frank and Barbara are so tied up in their own lives that they fail to see what's happening right in front of them. The ending I saw coming, didn't, Jack's too clever for that!

  • Christopher Plumridge: I THINK IT'S A WHALE

I loved this well written short and time travel of any sort always grabs my attention! This is a great, funny and quirky idea and I had so much fun reading it, almost as much fun as George must have with his two readers on the cruise, when he gets that far. I loved this well written short and time travel always grabs my attention!......eeek!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Women of the World

I write this recommendation as a man who would happily collect up a spider in my hands and marvel at it! But I'm not in this funny scene to help the damsels in distress. This is a simple story told brilliantly, with pace, humour and horror as the young ladies try to deal with their dilemma, truly great fun and I would laugh out loud watching this play staged live!

  • Christopher Plumridge: You've Reached Justin

This brilliant, tense two hander by Christian drew me in instantly then the twist knocked me off my feet! (mainly because I choose not to read the synopsis or other recommendations.) The writer draws you quickly and expertly into a dire situation where we see one friend protect another. I think if this was produced professionally as a radio play it would be truly horrific and terrifying. I loved it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Wishes (a five minute play)

This is a truly wonderful two hander by Mark, with a twist halfway through which totally took me by surprise! I love it when I read a piece of work written about an idea no-one else could possibly think of! Next time I'm at a fountain I may well toss in a coin and wish that I can see this play staged!

  • Christopher Plumridge: I'll Do Better

I very much enjoyed the strained relationship and interaction between these two characters. Due the the setting, separated by walls, it felt both distant and claustrophobic at the same time. The writer brilliantly describes a relationship we've all seen, if not been in ourselves - the will they/won't they dilemma. I loved it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hansel in Lederhosen

Whoa! This is amazing, the sexual tension ouzes throughout and not just in the play they discuss and play out. I loved the interaction between the two characters as the revelations and twists kept coming. An uncomfortable subject to read or to see, but so expertly written that you can't help being drawn into! Wonderful!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Revisit to the Glory Days

I absolutely adore this short two hander by Lee. The perfectly named Glory prepares to perform in her latest show when she bumps into an old friend back stage. Sometimes we see in others what they cannot see in themselves, in this case due to a controlling partner. I do hope Glory gets to return to her former glory. Marvellous!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hoplo

This is a powerful, beautiful and important message told by Dzubak. Hope runs throughout this piece, not just in her name but in the characters supporting her. The addition of the protestors adds tension and conflict, while we desperately want Hope herself to recover from her trauma. Simply beautiful, I would love to see this staged.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Off Duty

This is a powerful two hander, subtle and simple in its setting but so much told in such a short piece. We don't find out what catastrophe has occurred but you can't help feel for Jenny as duty stops her being where she wants to be. A great read!
