  • Christopher Plumridge: The Waters of Her Noblest Rivers

Just like a line in this short play with so much to say, the title itself did indeed "Get em hooked, and wanting to read it."
My wife works in care, I can just imagine her telling me of a similar character to Charles, such as his innocence in wanting to swim in the river, polluted or not. I know she'd let Charles bring home the rusty, biting, typewriter!
I'm also impressed at how Martin brings together the two sets of characters and the idea of the scarf is inspired. Wonderful.

  • Christopher Plumridge: DOUBTING THOMAS

Told like a ghost story of old, full of suspense and fear. If you believe what he saw was real that is, for you are left wondering at the end. Right up my street!

  • Christopher Plumridge: GOOD WITCH, BAD WITCH

Fun, poetic, pacy and full of alliteration! I really enjoyed this fun little tale of good witch gone bad! It would be a great piece for an actress to get dirty and flirty with!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Pix of Your Partner's Privates

This is such a sweet yet awkward departure two hander. Or shall I say one hander, you'll know what I mean when you read this! All through this the audience will be taken in, desperate to find out what will happen. I won't give it away, but the final stage direction is just perfect!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Siblings

This is such a heartfelt, beautiful and touching play of three siblings looking after their disabled brother, faced with the dilemma of taking the care one level further. Hodges perfectly captures the situation especially where one sibling, who is rarely there comes back to point out what the 'pro' siblings are doing wrong. Thus follows an embarrsed and awkward choice which is dealt with by fun and humility. But who will lend a hand? Beautiful.

  • Christopher Plumridge: THE WHOLE VAMPIRE THING

Dark, moody, stylish, gothic, sexy, atmospheric, I could go on. Darkly funny violence fill this play from start to finish. I'm in awe of how every sentence is crafted, such detail, such dark morbid scene creating in every single line, said or narrated. From the seemingly innocent start to the ultra violent ending this would be a horrible pleasure to produce or watch! I love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Madame Medusa Would Prefer a Chardonnay

Just like Tina Turner, Madame Medusa don't need another hero, well unless he brings a bottle of Chardonnay. This would be a great audition piece for an actress, such is the detail and emotion Nora puts into this piece. I would certainly like to see it performed!

  • Christopher Plumridge: THE WEIRD SISTERS

This play would be so entertaining to watch, it's fast paced, funny and quirky! We watch the wives at first lamenting on their previous marriages to Henry, then realizing what a toe rag he's really been, it's then fun to watch them turn into the weird sisters and join him in the bathroom.....Great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Wish You Were Here.

I was immediately drawn in by the title of this heartbreaking play mainly because I'm a Pink Floyd fan. I'm fully aware of the meaning behind the song of the same name, but Patton brings this meaning to a whole new level for this poor family. What catches me most is the realisation that the couple must have had this conversation many times before, going over the same old ground.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hold them Stunned

I'm so often surprised and impressed with the ideas fellow writers come up with, and this play by Rachel is no exception. Here the author deals with a, let's face it, male chauvinistic pig, and makes him change his ways in the most bizarre way, then the ending takes you by complete surprise. This play did hold me stunned. Hmmm, burning rubber.....
