What a play. Well conceived, great characters, quick dialogue. This play has everything including the button at the end. I look forward to getting into more of Tom's work. I would love to see this staged and witness the build in the tension regarding the telegram about President Garfield. Seems like a ton of fun. HRTS - That's Highly Recommend This Show for the older folks.

  • Joe Swenson: You May Have 6

I tried to stop reading this play on several occasions. The speed with which everything escalates and stays escalated. The mystery and the thoughts of what the twist could possibly be. The wonderful characters, the outlandish situation. I love this show. I want to direct this show. I want to produce this show. It's fantastic. High energy, super dark. Highly recommend.

Absolutely hilarious and historical hilarity is one of my favorite forms of comedy. What a great play for a four person cast to dive into. Full of historical facts being flipped on their heads through this modernization of the first European occupants of North America. The only critique I have is that it's just not long enough. I want more. More of the RCHA, I need to know if the Pilgrim is the one writing the graffiti or do I. Great show. Wish to see it produced!

  • Joe Swenson: Mamma's Combination (A gender role reversal version of DADDY'S SAFE)

Loved Daddy's Safe and brought to by Christopher Plumridge we once again find ourselves in the pit of despair with genders reversed. The visuals on this will have you laughing because it's funny or because you are so uncomfortable laughing might seem as a plausible escape from the tension. I do wonder what's in the safe and being called a girls big blouse is a put down? I didn't know that. Plumridge is brilliant in these efficiently written two-handers. Loved it.

  • Joe Swenson: Somewhere South of Bethlehem

I love this play and the play within the play and how it comes about. The role interpretations and the shift from the play to the confession. The implications being made are wonderful and at the same time Scott forces the audience to empathize in the most awkward ways while at the same time convicting the power of belief for its potential deceit. The truth is what you believe it is and Scott, through Aimee, delivers this message emphatically while at the same time offering alternative views on what might be south of Bethlehem. Love the show.

  • Joe Swenson: The Fallow Garden

Begging for a twisted twist driven show, this is the one. The power shifts from character to character as the audience remains a step behind. Finally Scott wrestles the uncomfortable tension away from the audience with a fitting conclusion. Fantastic.

  • Joe Swenson: Bulletproof Love

Incredible play, the picture and story of Ambrose and Ramona are heartbreakingly beautiful. Poetic in their monologues to and about each other. While it starts off with humor laced in, it turns beautiful. Would love to see this staged. Conceptually appealing. Excellent show

  • Joe Swenson: O, For a Muse of Fire

What an amazing short play. The beauty of the story-telling. Scott Sickles captures something so tragic and teases us with hope through the hopeful and the morose. The characters so real, so believable, and the tragedy so real, so intentionally thought through. Scott never loses the strategy behind compelling story telling and this show is a great example of that. Fantastic.
