From lights up it is immediately clear that Mark is an a**hole, and we wonder how poor Sarah can put up with him. At this retreat/job interview, life seems to be one big continuous experiment. There is intrigue, surprises, and a satisfying payback. The drama combined with the questions raised about genetic engineering will have audiences buzzing.

A racy romp loaded with hilariously suggestive one liners! It seems unlikely that Marvin’s new hunk of a muse will actually inspire new work, but what the heck! Fun, fast, and likely a festival favorite!

Let me get my jaw and eyebrows back in place after that ending! Leading up to this is a mother’s conversation with her deceased son, a young man who always sought his father’s love but failed to recognize what his mother gave unconditionally. Marilyn Ollett provides a lot for audiences to consider. And then there’s that ending! I would love to see this staged!

This comedy may be dark (it is), but man is it funny! A sibling rivalry between sisters turns into a tale of revenge. And as each piece of the revenge is revealed, the story becomes shockingly more hilarious. The hatchet joke is priceless! Just a great example of John Busser doing what he does oh so well!

A brilliant parody of the Albee classic! The dialogue is worthy of the original, and Paul Donnelly provides an unexpected but believable twist at the end. I love the use of a Narrator to set the stage and make excuses for any theater’s budget woes. So there are no excuses. Produce this now!

As a former assistant editor of the Endangered Species Technical Bulletin, I can’t applaud this enough! Way to turn the tables on a classic fairytale trope! Plus this would be fun just to see the dragon costume!

Either Jacquie Floyd-Priskorn is ahead of her time or the times just refuse to change for the better. In SOFT RAINS, written more than a decade ago, she shows us a worst case scenario of a world consumed by disease, fear, and hatred; not an unfamiliar path. And yet, in her unique ability to blend humor into even the most dire circumstances, she gives us a glimmer of hope through two endearing characters. This play is as timely as ever and in need of a revival.

Musicals, game shows, and comedies… these are a few of my favorite things! And Rachel Feeny-Williams has combined them into one hilarious, high energy short! If they haven’t already, the audience will certainly be moved to join in the finale. I know I would! Pure fun!

Plenty of physical comedy and a clever misdirection make this short play a fun romp! So much craziness for directors and actors to work. This is being produced in a Michigan-based festival soon and should be a crowd pleaser.
