ONE is a singular sensation! Two characters utter one word at a time until it becomes too much (or too little?) to bear. Christopher Plumridge’s script gives the sense of what spoken communication is becoming in a world of tweets, texts, and instant messages. Great job! Enough said!

In this political farce, Rachel Feeny-Williams takes the idea of a family affair to comic extremes. Fast-paced entrances and exits, clever dialogue, and great opportunities for physical comedy make this an absolute delight! POLITICAL BEDFELLOWS has my vote!

I had the distinct honor and pleasure of watching Debra Cole perform this monologue for my English conversation class this morning. What is so evident in Deb’s performance and writing is her passion! Combine that with the important lessons she imparts and you discover the very soul of theater. I hope every student is lucky enough to have at least one teacher like the character in this monologue. Even better, like Deb Cole!

If you love theater, and you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t, you will absolutely love A CROOKED FRENCH AFFAIR! From the recognizable characters of the community theater board of directors, to the disastrous call for scripts, to the crazy dress rehearsal, there’s so much familiarity yet in a refreshingly new and hilarious story. And at its core, it is a love story. Love of theater and the people who/whom make it!

You know the story, or so you think! Darkly funny, Christopher Soucy's take on the classic short story answers some questions and leaves others to our imagination. For instance, just how much does a tiger cost?! Chills and laughs combine to make this one I'd really love to see performed!

What a brilliant turn on a classic fairytale! Rapunzel, locked in a tower for 18 years, spends one day with her first smartphone and she’s buying into every conspiracy theory the internet has to offer. Her Mother, realizing she may have made a parenting mistake, perfectly sums up the play and the undesirable effect of modern technology on our lives. You need to read it in context to fully enjoy it! So read and enjoy!

Adam Richter, responding to a stricter brief, used a rhyming detective as an effective tool to everyone’s relief. He’s no fool! Fortunately, Richter’s rhymes are much better, and this noir comedy will have you chuckling from start to finish!

Not surprising that Rachel Feeny-Williams, who has created some fantastic crime dramas, would do such an outstanding job with the next step in the judicial process! THE CASE OF BLOODY MARY is superb courtroom drama. What is surprising is that Lucifer is a fairly even-handed judge. History, mysticism, and crimes of passion! What more could you want?!

Don Baker’s heartbreaking story packs an emotional punch because the outcome could have been so different. An accident that perhaps could have been avoided sets the scene. A sister’s unwillingness to accept her brother’s true self and his partner is the real tragedy. The role of the sister presents an acting challenge in trying to make an unlikeable character at least understandable. A powerful drama that should be staged often.
