Scenes of a marriage rush by with the unpacking and packing of a set of fine china marking important events. Like the china, a marriage is also fragile and therefore something worth preserving and protecting. If performed with only a cast of two, Marj O’Neill-Butler’s superb script provides a challenge for the actors to instantly change age and show how this couple grows over the years. This would make a great addition to any festival!

My thumbs are speechless! And the rest of me is exhausted from laughing! Hilarity from the mind of Scott Sickles! What more do you need to know?

A sweet and tender scene of a grandfather reassuring his precious granddaughter that although grandma is gone, she is really all around in nature. And by sharing this explanation, grandpa is also able to find comfort. In just a few pages Rachel Feeny-Williams makes us care deeply for these two characters and leaves us with a smile and maybe a tear or two.

Fairytales leave us with the promise of living happily ever after. Of course, happy endings are never guaranteed. But as Dana Hall shows in this wonderfully constructed, charming tale, our own stories may include broken promises and disappointments; however, through self discovery and acceptance we can find a true measure of happiness. Perhaps CHASING CINDERELLA is the story young girls and boys need to see. I hope they (and I) get the chance!

I’ve been waiting for this one and it was well worth it! Crabs, dem O’s, what’s not to love, Hon?! Four lovable crustaceans on a blind date in the land of pleasant living! Thank you Claudia Haas for transporting me home if only for a brief but beautiful moment!

When the only acceptable solution to inconsolable grief or any mental or physical illness is simply to recite religious dogma, the result is likely to be making the situation worse. Debra Cole does a great job showing the different layers of control that various characters try to exert over others in the name of their faith. Thank goodness for young Robbie who is the only character with a grasp on reality. This is one play that will give audiences a lot to talk about. I look forward to seeing it!

What a heartwarming and inspiring story! Four women over 60, who find themselves in desperate straits due to financial and/or relationship issues, come together to share a household, their fears, and their dreams. Through this arrangement they learn just how much they each have to offer. I’m excited to learn that this show will have a production in July, and I hope to be able to view it on demand! But I encourage all to read and enjoy it now!

This is an excellent and frightening example of the kind of inner dialogue I imagine many parents have when they see a child off to school or buy supplies meant to keep that child safe from what used to be unimaginable harm. Nora Louise Syran provides a powerful script and an opportunity for a skilled actor to deliver an important message.

All seems sweet like a nice cold glass of lemonade, but Ryan Kaminski adds enough twists and turns to ensure that the devil is truly in the details. Masterfully written, it’s not surprising THE DEAL has an impressive production history. Here’s hoping for more!

This is absolutely hilarious no matter the time of year! Well-known classic Christmas story given a very clever noir makeover. If someone put this on TV, I would watch it over and over again.
