Brilliant, beautiful examination of the lives of young black women who play basketball in their high school in rural Arkansas. The language is realistic and lyrical at the same time. Superb physical theatre as well, and since it's structured like a game, and the characters are so well drawn you can't help rooting for them. Even when they do things they regret. One of my favorite new plays this year.

Intense, vivid and moving, Runtime Error brings the topic of male sexual assault to the forefront. The clever use of coding parallels the way the victim sees or doesn't see his story, his victim hood, his error. The reading at Transformation Theatre was powerful. The live version will be even more so.

Gut punch will hit you where it hurts: Right in your preconceived notions of who and what are funny. Cancel culture? Nope criticism culture, and if you can't take it then get out of the improv theatre. Funny, wry and oh-so- truthful.

BW is a play that centers Black joy. The conflict is clear and the story is compelling, and the central characters are not forced to perform trauma for the audience. A revolutionary act. A beautiful jewel of a play.

A gorgeous, delicate yet concrete meditation on masculinity and brotherly bond. The main character is on the autism spectrum, and his journey is a revelation. Shlichtman has a deep understanding of her subject matter and is incredibly honest as she examines what the characters navigate as Latinx men.
