Helluva romance. It has everything a love story needs: a confused couple, longing, tenderness, humor, poetry, calculus, physics, exploding stars. Would love to see this on stage, or better yet, direct it.

For the child in all of us! Reminiscent of pre-historical folktales, Moon in a Barrel, celebrates the foibles of our human nature in a hilarious short play. Three thumbs up!

A challenging play and somehow difficult to read; I developed a real sympathy for Buddy; I watched him struggle with the issues in his life and wanted him to find his way, but as the play moved forward, I found myself, along with Buddy, in a nest of dilemmae. What choice is the right one? Is there a right one? Where do you put aside your desire to help others and begin to take care of yourself? And how do you reconcile that decision? A touching and excellent piece of work.

This is an all-out 10-minute assault for a female actor; a real workout. Says what it needs to, and says it loud and in your face. Especially now as the voices of the women who have been disrespected, from scuzzy comments to physical abuse, are now making themselves more front-and-center, this is a good choice to include in a repertoire or production. Well done.

A very well crafted short piece about a Moment (yes, capitalized) in a father/son relationship. Written with tenderness, yet very truthful, "Clarity" explores a single touching episode yet resonates outward and to the future: one man's satisfaction in a life "sensibly" lived, and the juxtaposition of his son's, which is not so solidly grounded. A lovely moment with much heart.

Sheer tragedy; a tortured family, and who knows? Maybe we do fail to move on until things are settled. Tense and lean, this work by Everett Robert is the perfect play for horror fans and Halloween festivals. Keep a blanket nearby.

So, like AWKWARD??? One man's attempt to inject a little sauciness into his relationship with his GF does not go as well as he'd imagined. Backtracking, apologies, and spot-on humor propel this couple through a real turning point. Cleverly done, this work shows you the soul behind the selfies.

THIS is the Shakespeare play I have always wanted to see. Chaotic, side-splittingly funny, and such an affectionate homage to The Bard. Extremely recommended!

Kelly has a wonderful ear for dialogue and a heart full of warmth for her characters, each of whom is special in her own way and so fully human. A hilarious situation just gets crazier and every choice made amplifies the delicious discomfort.

An extremely disturbing work. Read it a few days ago and still processing it. Re-read it again. Neither character is all that sympathetic and each shows cruel tendencies; one wonders how they made it through eight years together. Still, a very powerful piece that challenges traditional ideas of dominance, sexual tactics, and violence. This would make a hell of a performance with the right actors.
