I just love Hageman's work. Her plays are always so real and truthful, yet imaginative and theatrical and with lots going on under the surface. This one is no different and has a gut-punch of an ending. Amazing play for our current time and can be performed remotely too, but would work beautifully at any time.

Beautiful and harrowing monologue about the horror and grief of caring for a parent with dementia, which left me reeling. Fabulous piece for a female actor of middle age.

Wonderful two-hander that's simultaneously funny and poignant, with an unusual story and terrific roles for women. Loved it!
  • The Rules [an immersive 1-minute play]

I adore immersive plays, so was sold on the title alone. But a one-minute immersive play with multiple characters is rare indeed and this one works beautifully. The Rules would be a super-fun and thrilling experience for an audience and I'd love to be part of that audience!

A beautiful and skillful two-hander about two different boys who discover they aren't that different after all. The play has a sweet, poignant love story at its score and would be a wonderful addition to any play festival.

I love this play! It's skillful, theatrical, witty and poetic, and each character--most of which aren't human--is fascinating and compelling, particularly the luckless bottle and its poignant experiences with a baffling and disappearing world. How I would love to see this produced!

A lovely and bittersweet play about love and lost chances. Weaver's scripts are always expertly crafted and his characters feel so authentically human that I felt like I was sitting right there at the campfire with these two. Wish I could see it produced in the Heartland Theatre festival it was deservedly selected for.

As the parent of a baseball-player I was immediately drawn to this very funny and moving two-hander, which is about so much more than baseball. McLindon has skillfully developed such a realistic relationship between these two characters that once I'd finished reading I had to remind myself that they were characters, not actual people. This would make a terrific addition to any short play festival and has something to say to all audiences.
