  • Jennifer O'Grady: An Authentic Rembrandt

This encounter between an ambitious art historian and Rembrandt, who finds himself summoned back by her, is full of witty dialogue and would be a really fun addition to any short-play festival.

  • Jennifer O'Grady: I Knew Him

Terrific, moving and surprising short play with a fabulous twist that encourages us to think more deeply about what we see. So well done!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: Crash Test

There's lots going on in this poetic and theatrical short play about the difficulties of a crash-test dummy in love with a department-store mannequin and the white-coated man who pursues and controls them. Loved it!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: LUNCH LADY

Beautiful and moving monologue about an unsung hero in the time of COVID. Just lovely!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: Quarantined with Human

Hilarious! Haas's cat is such a fun role, and this would be a terrific addition to any one-minute play fest.

  • Jennifer O'Grady: Lies

A terrifically skillful and suspenseful play, with two fascinating characters and lots of twists and turns you never see coming. I'd love to see this produced. Highly recommend!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: THE BEAUTY OF A ROSE

I had the pleasure of hearing a recent reading of this engrossing short play, an unusual look at artificial intelligence with a wonderfully surprising twist. Lots of food for thought here. Well done!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: Threatened Panda Fights Back

I just had the pleasure of hearing a reading of this creative and skillful play. McGregor's wonderful characters (pandas and dodos!) are very funny, but they also give us food for thought regarding conservation and endangered species. Any creative team would have a blast doing this, and audiences will love it.

  • Jennifer O'Grady: LITERALLY SPEAKING (from the AN IRISH HEART COLLECTION)

I had the pleasure of hearing a reading of this very funny and charming play about an older Irish couple trying to figure out LA and their American waitress (along with the "weird" food on their menus). Lermond's play is so well-crafted and her dialogue is marvelously realistic and made me laugh out loud. I'd love to see a full production of this.

  • Jennifer O'Grady: KINDERGARDEN

Daring and harrowing play about incest, written with Goldman-Sherman's customary theatricality, inventiveness, and intelligence. Gut-wrenching and impossible to stop thinking about.
