  • Hamlet: Abridged (and Possibly Improved?)
    17 Apr. 2020
Hilarious and theatrical but with so much truth too, which makes it uniquely Hageman's. Any group would have a blast performing this play, and any audience would have a fabulous time watching it. I want to watch it!
  • THE GLASS SLIPPER SAGA
    5 Apr. 2020
Super-fun and very funny monologue delivered by a well-known fairytale princess, which provides a very different view of her than what we've all heard. Wonderful audition or performance piece.
  • Remembrance
    5 Apr. 2020
Powerful and beautiful two-hander exploring the aftermath of an actual act of gun violence. Extremely moving.
  • Libertadoras, the tale of Jonatas, Natan and Manuelita Saenz

  • Adoration of Dora
    4 Mar. 2020
Simon's play about Dora Maar is beautiful, powerful, and theatrical. I'd love to see this!
  • The Chisera
    4 Mar. 2020
Cizmar weaves past and present together to create a wonderful, powerful play about ecology, indigenous peoples and loss, and the struggles of two different women (one of them historical). Would love to see this on stage.
  • BLOOD TIES
    4 Mar. 2020
Taut, moving, important play about the conflict between two strong, 19th-century historical women--one a black artist and the other a white abolitionist and art patron. Should be read and produced.
  • Alligator (a monologue)
    27 Feb. 2020
Utterly convincing, quietly heartbreaking monologue delivered by an alligator, with Weaver's customary theatricality and sure command of language. Wonderful!
  • Madame
    26 Feb. 2020
Very poignant play about a very young Haitian princess and the duties expected of her. Wonderful glimpse into Haitian royalty and women of history.
  • ANGELINA JOLIE IS STALKING ME
    26 Feb. 2020
Who could resist this title? Not I, but the play is so much more than its title and wonderfully, darkly humorous, as well as thought-provoking. Terrific!
