Charming to see these two support their friend in his endeavors, and it's very funny, so I'll try to let go of the innate twitchiness of thinking of being seated near these two chuckleheads in a theater. However, these days, we'll take ANY kind of enthusiasm when it comes to theater. Right? The usual funny stuff from Mister Cern... enjoyable as always.

Loved the fact that I was surprised at the start and right up until the end. Along the way, a lovely and moving examination of the human need for contact, connection and comfort. Add that to our ability to hope for reconciliation that may never come and it's quite the examination of the psyche. The journey continues and takes one into places we never thought we would visit. Yet here we are. A brilliant piece that should make a worthy addition to any festival that would have it.

A rather fascinating sci fi script here, open to many interpretations, which you always see in the best of the genre. There's a lot to ponder and absorb from the telling of this tale. Hoping that audiences will get to ponder and process it many times in the future.

A gripping and emotionally surprising piece that will definitely take you on quite the journey. Rich characters established; great roles here for actors to take on. An excellent examination of family relationships and all the messiness often contained therein. This play certainly burns bright.

Very funny piece here by Ott. I appreciated the dark humor and thought it was a very fine satire of the original work. Many laughs throughout. Very enjoyable and would do well with a festival that puts it on its bill. Now, I'm off to get some Nuggets. At least I hope they're still open...

An engrossing work. You learn about these women... their lives, their stories... and you just want to hear and experience more. There are great lines throughout, and these should make amazing parts for actors to portray. There are emotional payoffs that are totally earned throughout. A variety of musical techniques should make some amazing and incredible scenes to see staged. I look forward to seeing this staged at some point... it's an impressive piece all around.

  • Brent Alles: "DARK MATTER"- A Ten-Minute Science Fiction Drama

One of the more unique sci fi plays I've had the pleasure to read, and that's saying something. On its own, the play works as a subtle satire of veddy British couples from a certain time period and then you're reminded that you're in a gloriously realized sci fi world (no mean feat for a short!) and the stakes are quickly raised. I loved the turns of phrase that populate this work. It's an enjoyable experience on many levels.

Hilarious short by Cole here as unwanted returns are magnified to the nth degree. Truly horrifying! And very funny.

  • Brent Alles: The Four Groomsmen of the Apocalypse

Sacre-licious! The usual hilarious insanity by John Busser that kept me laughing throughout, even if I may now need a few "Hail Mary's" after reading it. Just kidding, of course... I think. Anyway, this is absolutely going to bust up the right kind of audience; and so, if you've got that right kind of audience, you probably should book this wedding into your festival before it's too late. If you know what I mean, and I think you do.

Nice and twisted little piece here that gets you laughing at the predicament of this modern-day Laurel and Hardy and then ends with a kick. Fun and funny and definitely appealing to this dark comedy appreciate mind. Good work by Taube, to be sure.
