Great horror piece! Takes its premise and pushes it to satisfying extremes. Who knew there could be such a sinister side to improv? (Well...) Delightfully macabre folk horror one act that should do well in spooky festivals and beyond. Howling good!

10/29/24: Wonderful character touches in this short little piece. You're perhaps left wondering about things that lead to the present situation, but that to me is the appeal of a good short. Get as many answers as you need, and you're allowed to imagine the rest. Good work by Tennant here in stirring the imagination in a short burst.

10/27/24: Had the pleasure of seeing a reading of this at Planet Ant's "Halloween Hootenany," and it was just great. Very funny and yet there's definitely a nice little piece of menace in the suggestions here as well. Fits very well into the "Twilight Zone"/"Tales from the Darkside" side of things, I think. An excellent 10 minute!

10/27/24: I had the absolute pleasure and honor of seeing a reading of this at Planet Ant's "Halloween Hootenany," and it was indeed a great piece. Dzubak builds the tension and dread so effectively. The audience I was with were so engrossed that you could hear a pin drop during the reading of it. This should do well in any future festivals or even audio projects that would choose to have it. Highly recommended.

10/26/24: Drawn in by the two main characters immediately, and then the use of poetry just advanced my enjoyment so much more. Then Chris arrives, and the electricity brought to the scene makes one snap to attention. I loved the use of language throughout this work and enjoyed my time being able to revel in the world and the sounds of the Orgone Oscillation Overthruster as suggested by Thal. A weirdly memorable and enjoyable 10-minute! Always enjoy a rom com from an askew angle.

10/26/24: Wonderful slice-of-life. Webber does a great job of making the kids' voices authentic, and I was drawn into the show choir world instantly. You really get to feel for these kids and the modern stresses that they are going through that are only augmented by the extracurricular activities. I don't know if Webber plans to expand this at any point, and it certainly works on its own, but I would definitely be interested in learning more about these kids and spending more time with them!

10/26/24: This was a very creepy horror piece. Loved how the tension kept building throughout until it reaches a climax that leaves one feeling very exposed indeed. The sense of uncertainty over the whole situation gives the play a creeping sense of dread that leaves you thinking about what you've read or witnessed long after you've finished. Great for any spooky festival or just plain spooky season itself!

10/25/24: Love the pace of this. Many funny lines, and the action just keeps building to a deliciously funny climax. (You'll see what I mean.) This would definitely be enjoyable for any holiday play festival that chooses to have it.

10/25/24: For too long, Bigfoot has been omitted from the traditional holiday celebration lineups. Dzubak remedies that nicely with this short and darkly funny play.
