I really loved this play, and it was an emotional read. Everything flowed greatly, very to the point, and both characters were well spoken. I was invested from start to finish.

Very cute and tragic short love story. Genuinely what this author was able to do in ten minutes.

Gender identity explored with drama, laughs, heart, and grace. This short piece feels lovingly written and the characters are so full, it’s a joy to behold. Great roles for teens. Wonderful work.

This play does a beautiful job of subverting our expectations in order to emphasize its core theme. Much like Melanie the audience finds themselves guessing and making assumptions about what the characters are doing and what they want. By the end we find our theories, notions and assumptions entirely shattered. Pipes does a beautiful job of illustrating what it means to be different and just how alienating that can be. As well as how easy it is to view some one you care about as other. I highly recommend this play it is definitely worth the read.

As a queer person, I adore everything about this play, it hit me in a very vulnerable place. And not only that but it shows the typical teenage anxiety in an incredibly real way. The layering of conflict in this play allows us to uncover the world that these kids live in alongside the story. Wonderful job!

I really enjoyed this!! I think it is exactly what theatre should be!! There are educational bits while also being quite fun to read. As an LGBTQIA+ member myself, I really enjoy positive educational representation without being a PSA or caricature.

As the playwriting community sets their sights on creating more LGBTQIA+ representation, we often go wrong by perpetuating the very labels that we originally intended to dismantle. Pipes does a nice job of reminding us that there are many different aspects to gender identity that we have yet to explore in full. A welcomed eye opener!

I love this play!! It shows just how difficult growing up with perceptions of gender norms and ideals. I can relate to both of the characters in this play, and the frustrations that they have when it comes to identity, and not knowing how to verbalize how you feel.
