"This play is a bold exploration of love and identity, asking the important questions, while also telling a genuinely compelling narrative of heartbreak, guilt, and the quest to be true to oneself and others. It is a narrative that I believe, regardless of backgrounds or identity, can relate to us all."

This play takes its reader on a journey that explores the trialed relationship of two young high schoolers as they navigate life and love. It is a beautiful and simple coming of age story about the complexity of identity and romance. Definitely give this play a read!

I liked this moment of time with these characters that really show a certain experience that heterosexual and cisgender people might not get to experience. It's a window of truth especially in the experiences of people of color. It was brief, but I think it's what gains significance in a moment

I loved this so much! The dialogue felt so rich and intimate that you can't help but root for both Melanie and Shaun. You can tell a lot about their friendship and even feelings they have for one another in 10 minutes perfectly. The message behind this class is impactful knowing that Shaun is educating Melanie on what he experiences and is taken very seriously in the writing.

The message this play captures is so important. It's not only just a story, it could also potentially be educational for someone. You could tell how important Shaun and Melanie are to each other in only 10 pages. The pacing was perfect, I know sometimes it can feel like there is too much information being squeezed into a small timeframe. I loved seeing such a sweet 10 minute moment of a friendship that has spanned years.

I love everything this play expresses and stands for. There are many harmful stereotypes regarding the LGBTQ+ community, and this play addresses this issue in such a nice way. Seeing the character not only stand up for themself, but try to actually educate, in a strict yet kind manner is so wholesome.

This play was such a heart-healing read about how our preconceived notions of gender and sexual identity can often cloud our true feelings and keep us from happiness. This play was a great reminder that everything flows on a spectrum rather than a strict binary and it's lovely to see representation for pansexuality as well as non-gender conforming individuals which I would love to see more of.

Oh my goodness. I remember seeing this in a play festival. It was so good and breathtaking. This play is really good because it highlights how harmful stereotypes and assumptions can be, especially against the lgbt community. Furthermore, it shows the naiveness of highschool and the urge to fit the perfect image and being afraid to show who you really are. I relate to this play so much and urge everyone to read it.

I love this play! It is a very sweet look into navigating yourself in relationships when you're in high school! This play does an excellent job at addressing biases with kindness instead of anger! It would be great to do for a school to show that people's identities are more than just a "tumblr word."
