Part Science Fiction, part Mythology, All suspense! Corona reimagines the Battle between Theseus and the Minotaur on a space ship hurtling between the planets of Athens and Crete. Ariadne is now captain of a labyrinthine ship, and all is not as it seems. Keel creates characters that are complex and intriguing and a compelling universe of technology and mythology. Definitely check out this play!
  • HER SINGULARITY (15 pages)
    26 Aug. 2019
Her Singularity is a great short sci-fi play! Haigney creates an incredibly compelling A.I., after all she was programmed to be, right? As the callous scientists underestimate their own creation, Sofia, the android created to be the perfect woman, takes to her programming too well. This play is funny and thought provoking. A delightful read. I would love to see it performed!
  • The Men Who Couldn't Save Her
    25 Aug. 2019
"The Men Who Couldn't Save Her" is a memory play in which Anne Boleyn, sitting in the tower awaiting her own execution, reflects on the people in her life that have abandoned her to this fate. Some through lack of means, others through malicious intent, the men in her life have all lead her to her death. This play moves seamlessly in and out of time and gives us a glimpse into the inner thoughts of a Queen who was seduced, manipulated, and betrayed. This short play would be perfect for an evening of historical pieces.
  • /ärt/

/ärt/ is a cute satire about art competitions, and elementary school. Martin uses over the top characters and extreme circumstances to turn a lens on the ways we think about kids and art and kids' art. The hot headed teachers are counterpoised with children who resist attempts to turn their classroom drawings into high art. These two little girls prove that the best art is collaborative, and reject the divisiveness of the competition. What a delightful short play!
  • Her Own Devices
    25 Aug. 2019
PRODUCE THIS PLAY NOW! This is such a compelling, heartbreaking, and yet hopeful play. Her Own Devices has a stellar cast of characters and so many interesting facets for designers and choreographers to explore.

Madeleine's journey is empowering; the Robot is adorably relateable; Boyle is an amazing villain; Alayna is super sympathetic; and George is a powerhouse! There is a mass of arms that weave a dance through the laboratory, and the King of Germs worming his way into Madeleine's nightmares.

Big questions about existential angst are eloquently packaged in toy robots and unethical science experiments.

    A MUST READ!
  • The Tasters
    25 Aug. 2019
I had the opportunity read the part of Sawyer in a reading at the Comparative Drama Conference in April 2019. This script is beautiful and thought provoking. The characters have a complex richness to them and the world of this play is very unsettling. This play takes a gorgeous look at what the compromises we make and the moments when we have to stand up say "Enough is enough!" If you have the opportunity, produce this play now!
  • One Fall Over and the Whole Thing Go
    11 Jun. 2019
This is such a fun play! I had the privilege of directing this piece for the 4x6 festival in Tampa, Fl. This play is witty, and Matt Cowley has an amazing command of language. This fast paced heist gone to hell presents delightful twists and turns! You can't be sure where this is going until the very end.
  • My Barking Dog

This play is amazing! This minimalistic two-hander is go imaginative. It takes you on wild ride. I saw it at the Urbanite in 2016, and was completely captivated by the script. Check this play out!
  • Shakespeare and the Zombie Plague of 1590 (cowritten with Richard Henry)
    29 May. 2019
I heard a reading of this at the Asolo. This play mashes up all the greatest hits from Shakespeare's canon. This play has many funny and touching moments. The Gravediggers are a particular highlight of this piece!
  • A Trip to the Forest
    4 May. 2019
This play is a beautiful exploration of the connections we form in college. Riley is having a difficult time seeing beyond finals week. And Sal's life has been difficult since dropping out. But the two find that sitting next to one another and staring at the stars may make everything just a little more bearable. What a wonderful piece for college students! This play is full of hope and heart.
