  • Steven Hayet: The Red Truck, a monologue

An incredibly power monologue that is, sadly, way too relevant. Bublitz is a gifted writer and has created a character that is honest and real. I know her, and it makes it even harder to hear her story. But it's important we listen. Read this monologue. Produce it.

  • Steven Hayet: BROKE/FIX

I've read this play a couple times and each time I discover something new. It's dark, funny, disturbing, and incredibly real. Femia is a fantastic writer and in BROKE/FIX has created three authentic characters that would be a joy for any actress to portray. Read-this-play-and-produce-this-play!

  • Steven Hayet: Surprise (a ten minute play)

Such a terrific and incredibly clever short play. The perfect show for any ten minute play festival. You don't have to be psychic to know this is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

  • Steven Hayet: Shimmers

Was fortunate to see Shimmers on stage as the closer to a short play line-up. A beautiful heartfelt piece. As the stage lit up, so did the audience, filled with the joy of humanity.

  • Steven Hayet: /ärt/

Such a fun play! We've all met people like Mrs. Notting & Mrs. Crull, the art show judges who take their jobs a little too seriously. If these two characters weren't already funny enough, about half-way through, Martin pulls back the curtain with a big reveal, making their quest to uphold 'the reputation of this contest and institution' even more absurd. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser at any ten minute play festival.

  • Steven Hayet: FLY, BABY

Wow. Gina Femia has written an absolutely beautiful ten-minute play. I've read "Fly, Baby" several times and each time it tugs at my heart in a different way. Femia has created four real and genuine characters struggling and searching for hope. This play is incredibly relevant and necessary. Read it. Produce it. We need it.

  • Steven Hayet: The Relief

Really interesting concept for a short play. If it was determined that you would be the most qualified person for a certain job, would you do it even if you had no desire to? What if others' lives are at stake? A very thoughtful piece about fate and free-will. Would be a great addition to a Sci-Fi festival.

  • Steven Hayet: "Vinyl"

A very dark and clever piece that defies expectations and challenges assumptions. Just when you think you’ve figured Vic out, Gardner adds another wrinkle. Both Vic and Olive are terrific roles that actors would love to play. Real and authentic characters. Great short play.

  • Steven Hayet: Dream Date

Ryan Bultrowicz has written a very sweet and fun romantic comedy. In just ten minutes, you'll have a smile on your face. Frankie and Allen are both terrific roles for actors. Dream Date would be a great addition to any ten minute festival lineup.

  • Steven Hayet: Cast List

A very cute one-minute play. Hageman nails the first moments of that cast list announcement. Would be a great opener to a short play festival or showcase.
