  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Conflagration Then Nothing

A haunting work that amplifies the ways in which the human heart can both celebrate and mourn the same event, sometimes simultaneously. Beautifully done, this piece is uniquely specific and somehow universal all at once.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Looking for Hylas (a 6-minute play)

A compelling and modern adaptation, LOOKING FOR HYLAS' strength lies in its exquisite subtleties. I would love to see this staged.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Polar Opposites

POLAR OPPOSITES, a clever reflection on parenthood and marriage, is a real treat! Complete with a few twists, lots of laughs, and some truly tender moments, this would be a fun piece for all involved.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Gee, Your Butt Smells Terrific

Hilarious. I knew this piece would be enjoyable from the title, but I didn't realize just how much. So much comedy in 1 short minute- and what is sure to be an absolute blast for the actors and the audience!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: DRIVE

Lovely piece for an older actress with gumption and a desire to not give up the driver's seat quite yet.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Animal Kingdom (a one-minute play)

A beautiful piece. I don't want to give anything away by saying more, but what a tribute to the "humanity" of the animal kingdom.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Linda (Monologue for a Latina)

A beautiful work with such a clear voice, it jumps out and grabs me from the page. Delightful, engaging, and heartfelt, this is a stunning piece for a Latinx actress.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: The March Of I'ds (a one minute play)

Clever and lovely, as Levine plays always are.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: And Try NOT To Enjoy Your Stay

This piece would be a blast to perform and experience! Packed with puns and wit, this is a monologue (complete with intepreters!) that is sure to be a favorite.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: The Giraffe in the Room (Monologue)

Sellem has written what so many have felt and are feeling in this beautifully rich piece. I love the stream-of-consciousness and realness of Jupiter, who isn't afraid to show off her vulnerable side. I love that Jupiter knows that she doesn't know things, like how long quarantine will last, and isn't afraid to show it. I love even more that Jupiter isn't ashamed--or afraid--to hope for the best, or to look towards tomorrow as a new, and maybe better, day. Well done!
