Love this piece! Charming and funny, it would be a great add to any short play festival and a fun romp for actors and audiences alike!

Beautiful imagery! Written mainly in the present tense, this piece has an active immediacy that allows us to move and emote with MARSHA until its lovely ending note.

Hilarious. I was laughing from the character list, and didn't stop until I reached the all-too-soon, but perfect, end. Would be so fun to stage as a director, designer, and actor, and thrilling to see as an audience member.

I was lucky enough to see this ambitious musical in an intimate production in Indianapolis several years ago and still find myself contemplating the lyrics and score. This adaptation provides something for everyone: a classic gothic love story, great roles for actors, and earworms for the audience.
  • Now and Then (ten-minute play)
    4 May. 2020
A charming 10 minute piece that illuminates what women have had to endure in private to appear perfect in public. Offers two fun roles for actresses, plenty of laughs, and some wonderful insight into what it takes to be a working woman today.

  • LIFE | DEATH: OPEN-TEXT (#1)
    4 May. 2020
A performance text ripe for devised theatre; fluid, this piece's word associations could build quite a night of theatre.

Fun, succinct, and true on the page, I imagine this play in production could really pack a punch.

Engaging from the very first line! Wonderfully gothic.
  • Comfort [a 1-minute play]
    3 May. 2020
Martin allows us yet another beautiful glimpse into his characters' lives with COMFORT. I wanted more and more, but cruelly, like the women in this play, I am only allowed a short bit of it.
