  • JAX: A MONOLOGUE FOR A TRANS MALE ACTOR
    7 Oct. 2018
Whenever I read Wyndham's work I am amazed at each and every distinct voice that just flow's so effortlessly from his pen to the page. I am also in awe of these voices that are introductions to me of those who are fighting every day for just a bit of dignity and a place in this world. JAX is no different and would be a tremendous role for any trans male actor to perform.

What a breath of fresh air! Matsushita sets an amazing course in motion with this perfect short play. The poetry of the reveal is handled so skillfully--and with a dash of humor that makes one smile throughout.
  • The First Adventure of Puss In Boots

This is such a sweet and endearing play. I love the humor and the part where the cast debate the use of pop culture references is great. What a delightful play by Robert and I look forward to reading more of his work.
  • Who is Kris Kringle
    2 Oct. 2018
Kris Kringle being carried off by an angry mob? Who hasn't felt this bit a crazy at the holidays? Pfeffinger's gem of a short play truly captures the madness of the holidays with fake beards and socialistic propaganda to boot! Line up the holiday festivals now because this should be included in each and every one.

Wow and again wow! Loved this play! Would make for a great selection to any one act festival and would be a joy for everyone to read and see.
  • ICE FRONT

How can anyone read this play and not feel the rage that we should all be feeling at the current state of affairs in our country, but sadly, as Carnes writes so beautifully in this short play, we have seen this push against totalitarian governments in the past and how quickly we could fall into one ourselves in these precious and so called free United States of America. What I love about Carnes writing is in full effect here--the current state of affairs crossed with a thorough knowledge of history old and new.
  • Have You Been to the New Harris Teeter?

This play rushes all over you like popped bubbly. What a treat! Funny as hell, as well as searing in its take on the class system--those with and those without who end up cleaning the spilled coffees one after another. I am definitely a Flynn fan after this gem of a play!

And interesting mesh-up of a lot of themes and topics that finds such an intriguing path to enlightenment for those reading and watching.. I love the dance floor setting and the two people there as they maneuver through time and history.

What a beautiful play that touches on so many points. The older father and older son are not seen very often on the stage and I love that this play brings both into the mix. This play touched a personal note for me and brought back a flood of memories about my own dad which just shows how well written it is and really it shows that the best moments in life are those ones just like this one that just happen by chance but are not too soon forgotten . . . if we are among the fortunate.
  • BLACK HOLE!!! A One-Minute Play for Kids
    28 Sep. 2018
This is priceless! What a great play for kids to do. Whether he's writing a one minute, ten minute, one-act or a full length, for adults or children, Wyndham does it all splendidly.
