How can anyone read this play and not feel the rage that we should all be feeling at the current state of affairs in our country, but sadly, as Carnes writes so beautifully in this short play, we have seen this push against totalitarian governments in the past and how quickly we could fall into one ourselves in these precious and so called free United States of America. What I love about Carnes writing is in full effect here--the current state of affairs crossed with a thorough knowledge of history old and new.
