This play had me cringing with panic as John went down the rabbit hole of drunk dialing his ex, but oh what a completely exhilarating rabbit hole it was. I won't ever be able to look at a microwave bag of popcorn ever again without thinking of this play and the first-rate writing of Hovanesian.

Whenever I read a Wyndham play I feel I learn so much about the world around me that I never got from being in school and it’s this world that is so laid out for me to learn from, to glean from what I can about those around me. And he does it with that touch of delicious humor and insight. I am looking forward to Volumn 2 of this monologue series.

What a great play. Loved the Taylor Swift as Big Sister. Frightfully funny for a horror fest (if you're not a Swift Fan) and one of pure comedy genius (if you are!). I hover between the two so enjoyed it from both viewpoints. Do yourself a favor and lay down the notebook and read this play today!

I love checking out the NPX play of the day and even more so when I read a gem like this. What an experience. I love that it was all monologues building into a thriller-esque drama which surprises the readers as much as pleases them, all with Deutsch's beautiful writing standing front and center.

For an exercise this is pretty damn good. Funny, intelligent with pathos to boot. I'll take any master class from Weaver whenever he is offering one and until then will continue to read his plays for inspiration!

  • A Question, a Monologue

What a great monologue. The thing I love about Gonzalez's writing is how he captures these points of life that are so common to all of us which makes his writing so relatable, but the thing that pushes it apart from the common to the extraordinary is all Gonzalez. I am blown away with how he wraps the every day actions and feelings into a masterpiece. I can't wait to read the entire script if the monologue is any hint at what it will be.

What’s amazes me about Wyndham’s writings are the realities that each of his characters inhabit that are so vividly different from each other. There is an entire universe that he’s created with each and every piece of writing that makes me stand back in appreciation and also yearn for others to be added to this ever growing world of amazing people.

Such a lyrical play that's full of quiet beauty.. The rite of passage tale is so well crafted in Michele's hands.
