I’ll Tell You at Sunrise is such a heart warming experience about pain and promise. Gonzalez creates one of the most epic battles between life and death that I’ve ever read and I love the lessons portrayed and learned from it. The part where the Vagabond talks about the sunrise and subway sandwich is just such a real life nugget of wisdom that we all should experience on a daily basis. I love this play so much for the hope it instills and look forward to reading other works by this talented writer.

What a treat to read this breezy play. Duncan creates a sexy mood and scene with “Champagne” and I fell into the charm of it all. Love the back and forth of the two women and just wanted it to keep going but then why mess with perfection when it’s this good as a ten minute. Thanks for sharing your work with us on NPX!
  • SLOB: A MONOLOGUE (with wrinkles)
    20 Jul. 2018
I love Asher’s work. He inspires me and I owe it to him really that I tried writing monologues again—well really for the first time in maybe my entire writing career, and so I read this new one by him and once again I’m inspired by the reality of every line and the humor behind every line and the sexiness of the ending. Thanks Asher for another jewel in your crown. Keep posting these works of art!!!
  • Brandon. Brumley. Bro. (10-minute)

A great spoof of a play about frat/bro culture, but like great spoofs digs a little deeper into the all too painful realities of that unspoken acceptances of that culture's wrong-doings. Two great roles for actors. So highly recommend.

Funny and oh so telling of the reality we are all wading through on a daily basis. I would love to see this on stage with its breezy dialogue that strips away layer by layer the masks that we all wear and hide behind. Inspiring to me as a writer and a person. Thanks for sharing this play on NPX!

Funny, funny and very deliciously dark! I love dark comedies to begin with and this was such a hoot to read. So well done. Would love seeing this on stage.
  • Back Cover

Sometimes you are reading things that just turn out to be quite magical in the end for so many reasons. This is the case for me while reading Emily's play Back Cover. The play is funny and yet so heart-breaking but in the end full of triumph as the story within story within story approaches its close you want to stand to your feet with an enthusiastic round of applause for the playwright and wish you could see this so piece of art on stage where it should be seen by everyone.

What a play! Funny and lyrical and then so touching at the end. I can see why this one is winning fans worldwide!!! I can't wait to see this in when it is performed in Bainbridge this August!

What a wonderful monologue. I enjoyed reading this and the six points Abena has to lay out and I toast this sweet ode to speed dating and the like.
