  • Co-Worker (a two minute Coronavirus play)
    19 Aug. 2021
A funny play about the differences between most people, those who can take it all in stride and those who cannot. Doug and Donna are examples are just these two types of people stuck together. What an ending where that simple act of touching that so many of us missed last year during this crazy time, is the one thing that calms Donna down. Classic.

A Covid-"possible romance" done right. Ashby's play presents a basic couple in Mike and Sara, but I love the subtle loop that this play takes us in and you know this is a conversation that will be had over and over not only in the pandemic year that just occurred, but beyond it, possible throughout their entire history as a couple.
  • COMING TO YOU LIVE
    19 Aug. 2021
Relationships are hard period. 2020 put this little saying to it's biggest challenge yet. Allen gives us a couple in day three of the lockdown and they are pretty representative of most couples I'm sure during that time. Coming to you live is a love story where two people realize they loath each other as much as they love each other and this awakening and rebirth of their relationship plays out to such a sweet conclusion that I would have definitely become a fan of their Facebook banter.

Winning is everything and that motto is played out to an excellent finish in Feriend's delicious dark comedy. Growing up in the south, football was everything and the only thing and I remember always feeling like crawling away whenever people started talking about it! Spot-on and Perfection rolled into one!
  • 'Tis the Season

Halloween is my favorite holiday and it was my moms as well. Last year I was definitely sad about not being to have trick o treaters and unfortunately it seems that we might be looking at another lackluster Halloween due to Covid once again. I’ll zoom with Sam and enjoy the Holiday nevertheless! It always helps to commesorate with others in the same boat.
  • Favorite Son
    17 Aug. 2021
Favorite sons and daughters always makes for such interesting Storylines. I read this the day after my moms memorial where my brother joked that I was always her favorite, and he was dads. Being gay made me connect to my mom in a way I didn’t with my dad. As I got older that changed but it was so interesting to read Williams tale that evokes so much familiarity and yet such freshness that makes it timeless.
  • Boats in the Canyon
    11 Aug. 2021
A play everyone should be reading right now, what with the planet on fire and everyone seems to be OK with the climate changing so rapidly it seems that we are the path set forth in this play, where we are left with no water and not green and only the fire that will end us all. How will the world end? Ice or fire! Boats in the Canyon offers up the later and my heart breaks from the power of this short play.
  • Pickle Jar (a one-minute play)
    8 Aug. 2021
Always fun to read any Weaver play! It can take eons to discover you don't like someone over the simplest of things, but Pickle Jar provides one such scenario that is funny and so much deeper than a jar or pickles could ever be.
  • The Harvest - 3 minute play
    6 Aug. 2021
Haunting piece that rips your heart apart. We wake up each day and most of us forget how fortunate we are here in the states to have choices and freedom to make our own decisions. The daughter speaking of her small dreams that she loses forever in an act of violence by soldiers. and the mother speaking of the fruit ripening and a harvest that will change this village forever.
  • Finding Mother Courage
    28 Jul. 2021
This play would keep from ever going to another audition. Kingsley's Finding Mother Courage is a funny , yet tender play about finding courage in all situations and all circumstances and to bring that courage forward at any time you need it because even if you think no one sees or hears you, you can still bring about change.
