  • Rachel Bublitz: One Big Union

I saw the Plan-B production and was so impressed with the integration of history, music, and storytelling. It was exciting and fast paced. Threedy balanced the necessary exposition and dramatic pull of the play quite well. With its flexible, and potentially quite large, cast size, it would work really well at colleges.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Better

A moving and emotionally full play about dealing with the unthinkable. Carter uses humor and a matter-of-fact protagonist to juxtapose the gravity the world she’s created. I would love to see this in production. A fantastic play.

  • Rachel Bublitz: The Robertassey

I would be so excited to see this play in production. It's poetic and lyrical, and the magic threaded throughout is to die for. A play about loss and trauma, and how and if we can (or should) separate the trauma caused by loved ones after we lose them.

  • Rachel Bublitz: For The Love Of (or, the Roller Derby Play)

FOR THE LOVE OF is passionate, funny, sexy, and determined. Being an artist in theater, the concept of doing something for the love of it, and not any for money or success, really grabbed me. The seamless moving in and out of roller derby and life gives the play a fierce theatricality. The dancing! I would LOVE to see this play produced, and with a cast of nine diverse women, it's something that should be going up all over the country. Do yourself a favor and order a copy of this script.... Then produce it in a theater near me!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Blackademics

I LOVE this play! I caught the Crowded Fire production, and top to bottom it was FANTASTIC. It's funny and smart and cutting and contains three wonderful roles for actors to revel in. Goodwin is a master craftsman and playwright, I'd love to see this play and his other work become staples in theaters across the country.

  • Rachel Bublitz: HYPE MAN: a break beat play

So engaging and well written. The characters draw you in and you're able to cringe and feel along with all of them. The dialogue is superb, and the play never holds a punch. I caught it as a reading, and would love to see it fully produced.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Ava Maria

This is a hilarious quick paced ten-minute that would make a fantastic addition to a short play festival. Two great comedic roles for women, and many many more laughs for lucky audiences. Great work!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Poetic License

A funny and surprising short. POETIC LICENSE has amazing rhyming and clever phrases throughout, plus four great characters for actors to dig into. Would be so fun staged!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Pay It Backward

If a person does a good deed but they never post it on social media, does it count? And what is expected, or earned, by doing good in the world anyway? If you're not getting anything back, why warn someone they're about to step in dog poo? Hoke tackles some really interesting (and funny) questions regarding karma and why people are nice ever in this short.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Once I Was a Kingdom

A really interesting take on a historical play. The power dynamics of this play are brutal, and cut so deeply at what is happening in our country right now; particularly how people in power too often only give when it is to their advantage, instead of caring about doing something that's right or good.
