  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Trail of Blood (an audio play)

Wow this was not where I was expecting it to go, but man do I love where it ended. This was suspenseful, yet so funny and adventurous. Baughfman hits this one out of the park, and shows audiences exactly what dark comedy is. The first scene is so thrilling, and the second scene is so shocking, I loved it. People won’t see this show coming.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Missing

Absolutely breathtaking. So amazing. This is how you put thrillers on stage. The staging is brilliant with having both homes on stage on once. These characters give three actresses so much to work with and allows them all to shine. This show is so creepy yet there is such a realistic sense behind it. Sophie is such a great character and I hope I can see this show live or work on it some day because this show is truly a work of theatre.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: 16 Contestant Show Talent

This was so fun. This was so clever. This is what fun theatre is, this is written by a playwright who knows how to utilize his strengths and knows how to enjoy what he does.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Diabetes

As a diabetic this is a conversation I’ve had on more than one occasion. Rinkel does many things here. On one hand he shows you a caring mother worried about her son, but then again he gives us an overprotective and over barring eye over your shoulder. He gives us a son who can handle his disease on how own, but then again one who is shutting everyone else out and handling it on his own even though he doesn’t have to. A brilliant work with a watchful eye for how things are and can be.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Chewie, Get Us Out of Here

This is just fun. While this show makes great use of the references from so many classic Sci-Fi films, this show has great on stage characters that have witty dialogue and great banter. A fantastic ten minutes of theatre.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Wendy and the Neckbeards

I was recently cast in this show at MSU and wanted to show some love. This show is absolutely brilliant and touches on so many often ignored topics. The characterization of the chorus of neckbeards shines line on how traumatic internet trolls can be to a person, and the storyline with Jess, Bree, and Chad is so terrific. This show also breaks the fourth wall so well, and does so in a way that keeps the audience in the world of the play. I love this show as a playwright, and can’t wait to be in it as actor.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: New York Shorts: A Trio of 1-Minute Plays

I’m a sucker for a vignette show, and Rinkel certainly makes one hell of a show here! As a performer in many aspects, New York is a place I respect and adore whole heartily. This piece shows us the humorous and stereotypical side of New York, as well as the serious and prideful side of what makes the city so amazing. The conversation about why the city is called the bug apple is so hilarious! And the final vignette is so beautiful. This is a short but impactful play by Rinkel here.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Bicycle to Beijing

A beautifully written piece that examines the ups and downs of ones youth. The back and forth between Charlie and Tania is smart and realistic, the introduction of Joe and his story adds so much drama and nuance to the story, and the world that Josephs has created in this story is certainly one that stands out and makes an impact. Brilliant work.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Prince's Richard

A great political comedy that makes me wish I could come up with jokes and stories like this. Corona has such a distinct voice, and you can hear it here more than ever. This is a piece that I am going to come back to when I am looking for inspiration for political commentary as well as wordplay. Brilliant work, can't wait to read more.
