A cute piece that would be great for a mother and son to perform! Albert, Albert, ALBERT -- you are such a "silly goose!"
  • Playwrights Versus Zombies!

Another great script from Christopher! As a playwright -- just like the character NICK -- I sometimes struggle to find solutions to logistical problems in a script that I'm writing. Thankfully, I've never had to deal with the reality that he encounters when a zombie comes knocking on his door looking for some yummy brains to gnaw on. Though...I think I have had nightmares (while sleeping!) like that! Clever and fun -- a great read!
  • The Wedding Recessional I Imagine My Parents Had in 1971 (2 minutes)
    15 Jul. 2022
I can only assume that a lot of U.S. marriages started out like this, hence the crazy divorce rate. The last line of this hits hard, and it's only four words. Great insight in this short piece.

So much can be said without saying much. A beautifully haunting piece about life coming to a close.

If the walls (or the sofas) in some houses could talk, they'd be able to write best-selling novels. Tales of life, love, anger, fear, sadness, joy, and...more -- a historical compilation of insight into the lives of those who crossed the threshold of the front door. Playwright Rachel Feeny-Williams takes us on a brief journey into the lives of those at 63 Corigan Avenue, and a history that Katherine, the granddaughter of the owner of the house, wasn't necessarily prepared to learn about. Another great play by Feeny-Williams that will make you smile for sure!

    A great read -- I couldn't put it down. :-)
    Very meta.
    How meta is it?
It's so meta that Mark Zuckerberg is talking to his lawyers.
  • The Youtube Comments Section of “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”
    20 Jan. 2022
Oh, the comments section. I avoid it like the plague. But in this short play, Stevens shows how the catharsis of getting your thoughts out of your head and down, in some form, will last far behind the thoughts themselves. This song has always been a favorite, which is interesting considering that it's a heavy downer of a song. But seeing the thoughts of these commenters in the play helps me see why it has such power. Well done.
  • We Are Cranston

WE ARE CRANSTON is a dark comedy gem. The writer really does a great job at taking what is quite obviously a horrible situation and turning it into a fantastic play. If you don't wince at the coach a dozen times while you read this, I'd be very surprised. Well done!

From the very first line all the way to the last, I was 100% invested in this play while reading it. Hooo -- talk about a "what if?" scenario! I loved that we only got little tidbits of the story at a time until we finally understand the big picture at the end, and the parallels that are drawn. Fantastic dialog -- very well written. This is such a great example of what would work VERY well in the "Zoom" world we're in.
  • What Happened?

What a brilliant and clever idea (both the concept of the play and the manner in which it was written!) It's always fun to read plays by a talented playwright, and this was a 2-for-1 deal that I couldn't pass up. This was executed so well, too - the whole thing sounded like it was written by one person, so it was hard to distinguish who wrote what. Well done! A great read! And now I kinda want to try this tag-team style of writing...
