  • Randy Hunt: Y & Z

A great short suspense play from Christopher! I FELT the tension just reading it. I've been performing some radio pieces lately, and this one would play very nicely in that format. Well done!!

  • Randy Hunt: Justin Thyme III

I'm a big fan of the Justin Thyme series, and this "episode" did not disappoint! Wordplay can be tricky, but Joe has done a great job of making it fun and entertaining without it sounding too much like "Who's on First?" Throwing Siri into the mix really upped the game for this one -- I hope she makes a return in future episodes!

If you're thinking about your friend Anita Smile, then just read this play. :-)

  • Randy Hunt: This is Not a Touch Exhibit (a monologue)

What a sweet monologue from an amazing playwright!

Poor Ollie is so relatable in a lot of ways that it's hard not to draw parallels with my own life experiences trying to find a woman to fall in love with. Ollie and I have both had our fill of deep-dish pizza in our respective lives.

This would be a fun piece to use for an audition (with permission, of course!)

  • Randy Hunt: The Duck Did it!

A cute piece that would be great for a mother and son to perform! Albert, Albert, ALBERT -- you are such a "silly goose!"

  • Randy Hunt: Playwrights Versus Zombies!

Another great script from Christopher! As a playwright -- just like the character NICK -- I sometimes struggle to find solutions to logistical problems in a script that I'm writing. Thankfully, I've never had to deal with the reality that he encounters when a zombie comes knocking on his door looking for some yummy brains to gnaw on. Though...I think I have had nightmares (while sleeping!) like that! Clever and fun -- a great read!

  • Randy Hunt: The Wedding Recessional I Imagine My Parents Had in 1971 (2 minutes)

I can only assume that a lot of U.S. marriages started out like this, hence the crazy divorce rate. The last line of this hits hard, and it's only four words. Great insight in this short piece.

  • Randy Hunt: Time

So much can be said without saying much. A beautifully haunting piece about life coming to a close.

  • Randy Hunt: You Think You Know

If the walls (or the sofas) in some houses could talk, they'd be able to write best-selling novels. Tales of life, love, anger, fear, sadness, joy, and...more -- a historical compilation of insight into the lives of those who crossed the threshold of the front door. Playwright Rachel Feeny-Williams takes us on a brief journey into the lives of those at 63 Corigan Avenue, and a history that Katherine, the granddaughter of the owner of the house, wasn't necessarily prepared to learn about. Another great play by Feeny-Williams that will make you smile for sure!

  • Randy Hunt: Cheryl Bear is Reading All of My Plays on the New Play Exchange ( a monologue)

    A great read -- I couldn't put it down. :-)
    Very meta.
    How meta is it?
It's so meta that Mark Zuckerberg is talking to his lawyers.

  • Randy Hunt: The Youtube Comments Section of “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”

Oh, the comments section. I avoid it like the plague. But in this short play, Stevens shows how the catharsis of getting your thoughts out of your head and down, in some form, will last far behind the thoughts themselves. This song has always been a favorite, which is interesting considering that it's a heavy downer of a song. But seeing the thoughts of these commenters in the play helps me see why it has such power. Well done.
