10/27/2025 - Had the pleasure of hearing this performed from the playwright himself. John Busser has such a knack for dialect, monologues, and storytelling in general. The three come together so perfectly here. A joy to read and watch from beginning to end. Fantastic job!

10/27/2025 - Throughout the course of ten minutes, I found my allegiance switching about a half dozen times. The dialogue is witty, the arguments compelling, and the banter between the two characters is hilarious. What's even better is the way in which it ends. A complete shocker that had me smiling. This will delight any audience especially around Halloween. Well done!

10/27/2025 - What begins as a family gathering filled with humor, name mix-ups, and playful insults quickly takes a turn into supernatural horror. The premise feels so real which makes the horror and all its associated twists all the more fun. A great and original take on the werewolf story!

10/27/2025 - As someone who has shown the classic hitchhiker episode of the Twilight Zone to my creative writing classes, I was instantly hooked by this piece. John Patrick Bray does such a great job here asking the audience "what is real? what is fake? Is all of this happening? Is none of this happening?" Regardless of your interpretation, you are in for one wild and fun ride at the theatre. Great from beginning to end. Well done!

10/27/2025 - Love everything about this short play. The hilarious awkward date dialogue between the two leads and the way the urban legend slowly creeps its way into the story. Fun to read and even more fun to see performed. The ending had me smiling from ear to ear. Perfect for a night of great horror comedy!

10/27/2025 - I love stories with creepy killer dolls. From Talking Tina in the Twilight Zone to Chucky in Child's Play. Alice in Debra A. Cole's piece is no exception. I love everything from the premise, to the relationship between the two girls, to the unsettling feeling that something isn't quite right. A fun piece of horror from beginning to end. Excellent!

10/27/2025 - A gripping short piece where we get the sense throughout that things may not be what they seem. The narrator isn't all that reliable which makes the ending all that more shocking when the truth is revealed. This would be a dream role for any actor to play. Horror at its finest!

10/27/2025 - Saw a recording of this piece for the STAGE FRIGHTS: The Sequel-ish down in Georgia for the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast. The premise is very engaging, the actors had a blast doing it, and the audience was loving every second of it. Jay Rehak takes the concept of the mysterious carnival man selling something to a whole new level with this comedic horror play. A whole lot of fun which had me and the audience wanting more. Great work!

10/26/2025 - Just saw a video recording of this piece when it was presented at the STAGE FRIGHTS: The Sequel-ish (LIVE Performance) in Georgia. Wonderful concept, great characters, and so much wit in this charming and engaging horror comedy. The Grisly Sisters were a stroke of genius. Fun, fun, fun from beginning to end!

10/25/2025 - Wow! This play went in directions I was not expecting at all! What I thought was going to be a sentimental discussion with an aging actress turned out to be a story about crime and murder. I was fully engrossed by the two main characters. Every line of dialogue sizzled and I was hooked from beginning to end. Would love to see this staged and would love to see it as a full-length too. Great work!
