  • D. Lee Miller: THE LETTER

It took a sure hand to write this play - a situation many have experienced. A young couple split and 30 years later, they make of it what they will. It doesn’t go exactly the way you think it will Hollywood, you know) but is real as can be. Hurray for Liz!!! Cole has written a piece that sheers off cliche to make it a good solid play.

  • D. Lee Miller: PATRIOTS

What I love about this play is the judgment you profer on the two beautiful women - not on their looks, but on their message -- but the play is turned on its head at the end. What do you think now? Deb Cole has captured our times in PATRIOTS.

  • D. Lee Miller: THE LIST

You think you know and you get it and it's funny because we've all been there --- until we realize we haven't! Deb Cole has made a funny play even funnier - and of real importance to the two involved. How perfectly written - but then it's Deb Cole!

  • D. Lee Miller: The Death Lodge Meditation

A deeply felt calling for forgiveness. Ani is trying so hard. I liked the way the relationship ended - probably a reflection of what it was like in life. Direct and proud reminding us of how good parents feel.

  • D. Lee Miller: A PINK HAIR RIBBON

A monologue that any daughter will recognize and mourn over. Perfectly captures the distance between mountains when the daughter is rebelling. Well done, Julie Brandon.

  • D. Lee Miller: FEMALE PROBLEMS

You'll forgive me, but I was partly hoping that Violet had a gun. This horrific story is our past and now our very possible future. Women are losing their voices and any control over their own bodies. Religious control adds to the terror of FEMALE PROBLEMS by Deb Cole. Thank you for writing this. I hope it is used as a teaching tool.

  • D. Lee Miller: THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE

Such a mountain of grief which has swallowed Gwen's sense of self. There are different triggers for this but to mourn your past life, your dream of life, your very core is overwhelming. We are not taught to speak of lost dreams in our world. We only look forward. But there are so many caught in the miasma of 'supposed to be'. I wonder where Gwen ends up. Lots of questions here.

  • D. Lee Miller: Eat, Ugly. Feel Better.

Yes, this cycle is exactly how it can be. Anj Marie has revealed the cycle that many with eating disorders go through and it seems to clear at first - then gets churned in with your emotions - and then seems clear again at the end. Nicely done.

  • D. Lee Miller: Pre-Teens Pre-Screens Bored in a Car

This is the kind of innocent fun we don't have anymore - picking on siblings with unplanned trouble afoot! I could feel the pinches and see the made up problems blooming out of sheer boredom. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Lou Jones!

  • D. Lee Miller: A QUIET PLACE

What a very sweet meeting of two people in this chaotic world! How confusing it is that we want to be alone for peace and, of course, are so grateful to connect. So simply and beautifully done, Julie Brandon.
