  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Cheers to New Beginnings

I adore Vanessa and her solid start on her new beginning. She is just who Kate needed to meet at this very moment. And I think Kate might even be good for Vanessa. I love watching human connections form. It doesn't have to be a romantic connection, but it very well could be a love connection. We all need more love in our lives, don't we? Also, I learned about a new phobia today! Educational AND emotional! Well played, Deb Cole!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Lenora

Can something so beautiful still chill you to the bone? Lenora's strange, child-like dreams are coming to life. For the most part, that is a good thing, right? This is an absolutely unique concept with such a cliff-hanger ending! I really would love to see more stories from the world of Lenora. And the possibly moral ambiguity of keeping her dreaming to make her father's world a waking dream once more!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THE MINDSCAPE - Play Ten of "The Complete Ten-Minute Play Festival

I see this, not just as a play of words, but of movement and light. This is a perfect piece to showcase a lighting designer, a sound designer and a choreographer as well. All of the elements of Alex's mindscape come together and are not shunned or belittled. They are all in a delicate dance together to make Alex and Alex's expressions of art. This would be so beautiful staged.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Free Treadmill

Maybe because I read this while sitting in a garage sale, but I felt compelled to read this out loud for my mother and it was a hit! This is a relatable play with a terrific character in Murray! This tale is so familiar!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Deal

This is dark and fills the audience with discomfort. Stu definitely earned his discomfort, but we still see his vulnerability and have a sense of pity for him. But we also know, there's really nothing he can do but bow to his new bunkmate and his rules. Stu has a tough road ahead. Not sure any of us would be ready for this awful journey.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Persephone Wasn't Hungry That Day

Based on Greek mythology, this play is powerfully grounded in modern "feminine mythology." The faerie tales we tell ourselves to be more desirable and attractive to a potential partner. Persephone is very much into Hades, but terrified to admit and/or advertise who she is and what she wants. Her Hunger hilariously speaks the truth while teasing "Ooh, daddy, I’m going to ignore my basic needs in favor of yours, get caught in a vicious cycle, and then wonder why I’ve never had a satisfying relationship in my life.” Brilliant and totally important play for women today.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Runaways

Bobbi is a beautiful soul. And when two strangers come to her diner on the most pivotal days of their lives, Bobbi is a beacon of light. She is a guide, but doesn't tell anyone what to do. I think Bobbi has a future as a guiding angel on earth, motivated by her late wife Cassie. This would make a lovely series!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Low Class Boner Pills

I LOL'd so loudly, I'm sure my neighbors heard me! This is sooooo funny and now I kind of regret deleting all those emails in my junk folder. If I had known they were full of comedy gold like this, I'd save every one of them, print them out and make wallpaper for my office!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Like Me

Whoa. This is powerful and scary. You see how Dev suffered growing up. And now Dev is just dishing out the same "vitamins" Mother used to give. Not all "care" is good.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Dog

This actually feels like a psychological horror film. Dog lovers will be absolutely shaken by this play. I love how the escalation of their cursing using different F words from scene to scene until it becomes the true bomb, just like the situation they find themselves in. This whole play is almost an open scene, without really knowing much about the 3 characters beyond their feelings for each other or the dog. Which opens this up to many different ways to stage this and that makes this exciting.
