  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Little Known Rites of Spring

Terrifying on so many levels. Scientifically devised weaponry, not knowing who you can trust, and definitely knowing you can't trust the information you get from those in power!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: COUNTERPOINT (A One Minute Play)

One minute of poetry. This could almost be sung.

This is so funny, and so relatable on so many levels.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THE CORNER BAR - A ten minute play

I love how this plays out. The ending is so satisfying. Not your typical brush with death story at all!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Spa

Oh. My. God. Although the violence happens offstage, Greek Theatre style, this is a terribly horrifying story. Not just because of the violence, but because how very real a person like Sheila could be. And, of course, the fact that the only way to protect the greater populace from her "Hyde" costs $22k per visit! The fear of violence and the high cost of essential health care all in one short play! And the last line is *vegan chef's kiss*!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Destination: Wedding

This vignette play is magical...almost musical? It feels like a dance as we see snapshots of scenes from a destination wedding in Iceland. The characters are very strong and relatable and the design possibilities are so exciting! But, really...is this a musical in play clothing?! It sure flows like music to me!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THE LITTLE AMERICAN PIE FIGHT [A 1-MINUTE PLAY]

Wow! I love how this play ends! The fear of participation is very real to someone like me. And the defensiveness Dinah has when confronted with the pie is sadly relatable too. But oh the FOMO afterwards!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: New Level of Intimacy (or, The Play About Head Lice)

Oh this is so real and so very sweet...if not simultaneously a little icky! But these are the kind of romance origin stories I can really sink my teeth into! Absolutely down to earth magic.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Ignore the Random Bear

If someone told me this was a translation from a Chekov short, I would believe them. It's surreal, it's meta...it's SO REAL and SO STRANGE at the same time. Nina's last speech is music and knives at the same time. This is a wonderful short. I can't wait to see what production teams do with this and how audiences react!

Never mess with that you don't understand...including legal documents! This is a fun, supernatural twist on divorce proceedings. I'd love to see the theatrical magic in staging this!
